I stayed here for a total of eight days in an immaculately clean, upmarket, well furnished, quiet and substantial room with gorgeous views of the manicured garden and an ensuite bathroom to die for when attending my son's graduation. Mena, (the best hostess ever), bent of backwards to be helpful at all times, even serving me filter coffee outside of breakfast hours after a long journey when I asked for some on my return after a few days away. The breakfasts are superb and worthwhile taking as you certainly will not need to eat lunch. Such a shame thought that shoes aren't removed when in the house by some guests, as this is a property deserving of an immense amount of respect. It was a paying privilege to stay here, but book early as this establishment is usually full!

So pleased we found Mena waiting for us on arrival to accommodate our need for our rooms during our two weeks stay while attending appointments at the Nuffield Hospital. , Only a short walk away. Such comfortable & spotless rooms, good daily breakfast , tea making facilities in rooms, large spotless bathroom . Mena's hospitality, and kindness to us during our daily chat at breakfast time made our days unforgettable We cannot praise Mena enough for making our stay better than expected. . Thank you so much Mena and her husband.

I stayed in this guesthouse because it was close to Headington Hospitals where I needed to attend training for a week. Excellent and central location for the hospitals in the area (5 mins by walk) as well as the historic city of Oxford (around 20 mins by car when no traffic). I rented a car (free parking available at the guesthouse) however its very easy to reach Oxford with public transport. Also close to Headington city centre by walk, with shops, restaurants and cafes around 10 to 15 mins away by walk.
The guesthouse is small and offers breakfast only, however breakfast was divine - a proper classic English breakfast freshly prepared by the host herself, Mena, a very kind lady who made us feel very much at home. The rooms were very comfortable with all amenities, all details taken care of, and most of all spotlessly clean.
All in all it was 5 stars for me and I highly recommend it. I would definitely stay here again if I ever need to return to the area

We stayed at Claddagh to attend a conference at the University and we weren't disappointed. Clean, beautiful room with a giant en suite bathroom, decent clothes storage and a stunning view of Claddagh's gorgeous gardens. We were thrilled to find the WiFi was excellent too as we were still preparing our presentation. Our hostess Mena was extremely helpful booking taxis, accommodating our dietary reatrictions and ensuring we left each morning feeling happily stuffed with a good filling breakfast.

This place is a true gem ! Mena, the owner, is a lovely lady, very kind, friendly and helpful. I used to look forward to the scrumptious cooked breakfasts and the interesting chats. It truly felt like a second home. The rooms are very comfortable and spotless. The guest house is ideal for the hospitals ... very close proximity to Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre and other hospitals and only a short bus ride away to Oxford city centre. Bus stop is very close to the guest house. I highly recommend this B & B and would love to return again. Thank you Mena for everything ! Keep up the good work xx

What a great little find this was, Mena was the loveliest lady, she made us feel very welcome . The room was spotlessly tidy, we were lucky enough to have a garden view that did not disappoint. As much love goes into the garden as the house. Breakfast was a freshly cooked to order full English, I’m vegi and was catered for as well, fresh pot of coffee, other options were there for the picking, delicious. 8 minute walk to Churchill hospital which was very handy, off road free parking. Bed made and towels changed daily. Thank you Mena for your kindness, you made a stressful stay in Oxford so much more bearable.

We were visiting our nephew and his wife and the Claddagh Guest House had been recommended to us by his parents. We checked out the reviews which are universally glowing. We had a top notch stay here. Mena, the delightful owner, embodies the warmth of authentic Irish hospitality. Our room looked lovely, in pristine condition, and with a very large beautifully tiled ensuite that would grace an expensive hotel. It had a great view of the extensive well-maintained gardens. Breakfast was superb. I went for the full Irish and it kept me going all day. There’s plenty of room to park and the number 15 bus which stops frequently across the road whizzes you quickly into the centre of Oxford. Thank you Mena, we’ll be coming back.

So pleased we found Mena on the Internet to accommodate our need for a room in the coming weeks as attending appointments at the Churchill hospital, only a short walk away. Such a comfortable & spotless room, fantastic breakfast and variety of menu offered but more importantly, Mena's hospitality and kindness to us and all those we have had the pleasure to meet at the breakfast table. A lovely place to stay - Mena is a friendly, helpful host and my room was extremely comfortable and clean. I enjoyed a good breakfast and it was easy to get in and out of central Oxford for sightseeing, a short bus ride from a stop just round the corner. I'll be back if I visit Oxford again!
