We were charmed from the minute we arrived by the "chocolate box" look of the exterior of the OldParsonage, and equally pleased by the downstairs rooms (entry, lobby, restaurant) which combine the traditional with a contemporary flair, and the dark tones made it cozy and welcoming. Although not large, our room was more contemporary with beautifully "tailored" fabrics, while the... More

Fantastic! I look forward to sharing your kind words with all at the Old Parsonage. The (newly rechristened) Parsonage Grill is one of the best and most popular restaurants in Oxford and we are very pleased to hear how much you appreciated it. And there is no better sign of a healthy farm-reared hen than a vibrant deep yellow yolk... More

The services from all the different staff at reception, restaurant and also the room cleaning staff was superb. We stayed in a junior suite with our 11 month old son and the room was perfect for our one night stay. The atmosphere of the hotel is great and the recommended chefs special for dinner was indeed very good! Also the... More

Thank you. So pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay with us. I have shared your comments with colleagues. Great to hear of another enjoyable family visit too. We are equally receptive to families as we are to those wishing to escape for a short break (and with whom I empathise!) Kind regards Toby More

We went for one night for our 20th wedding anniversary and had a great time. It is a lovely refurbished hotel with a distinct feel. Rooms are great and we especially liked the bathroom with waterfall shower and under floor heating. Would recommend this hotel to anyone

This was our second stay here and it was just as good as the first. The room was large and comfortable even if a twin not a double. The service was top rate. We did not eat there this time but have in the past and I am sure it remains excellent. Much better than the faded and complacent Randolph.

Very impressed on arrival, as the parking space I'd requested when booking had been reserved for me by named sign - this level of service & attention continued throughout my stay. The Old Parsonage is a characterful old building with tastefully appointed modern bedrooms, and a stunning library where I'd love to have spent some time - especially as I... More

We spent 2 nights here on our visit to Oxford. We had a very good experience. Our room was fine- not too large, but perfectly adequate, with a nice bathroom & it was very clean. The service at check-in was good, although a little silly that we arrived at 2:20 but they didn't let us in the room til after... More

Thank you for your review. I am delighted to hear how much you enjoyed your stay at the Old Parsonage. I am sorry you were unable to check in before our guaranteed 3pm check-in. We would never preclude anyone from doing so if the room was ready. On this occasion it would simply have been down to how busy the... More

Rarely these days does a hotel exceed my expectations but this one did in spades. The location is in my view perfect. The old building looks lovely and quaint. However, once inside it is like a tardis. The interior spaces are wonderfully decorated. The bar and dining area is really cosy, particularly on a cold winters evening. The bedroom was... More

I stayed at the Old Parsonage with my partner, as a treat from him for my 30th birthday. We couldn't recommend the hotel itself and it's staff more highly as our whole stay was perfect. We arrived before our check in time (so we could do that day's complimentary walking tour) and felt very welcomed and reassured by the staff,... More

This hotel is understated in appearance but exceptional in the quality of its service. The rooms are decorated to the highest standard. It's warm, cosy but uncluttered. The restaurant is of consistently high quality. The staff are incredibly helpful. And the library a unique and appropriate addition. I can't recommend it too highly.
