Location is perfect only if you arrive at Oxford train station, otherwise not quite worth for what we are paying really. Rooms shockingly tight for the two of us, hard to move in the room. Rate a bit too high. Friendly voice on phone and service but we did expect a bit bigger rooms and posher settings. However, not too...

Dear Nigelgarage123 Thank you for your review and I am sorry you found the rooms too small for your liking. I must highlight here the smallest rooms are 4.5/3.5 meters large and the biggest are 5.5/4.5 meters large. In fact, we receive many complements regarding larger than average size of the rooms, especially in a 3 star hotel. We hope...

Booked a family room which was warm, comfortable and clean. Proximity to town was perfect (five, ten minutes walk max). On a busy junction but quiet at night (although my wife was woken by some young revellers at two in the morning!) The parking is a big plus as the hotel has a deal with Staples for £5 which is...

We were attending the theatre in Oxford and decided to stay overnight, after much deliberation decided to take the train, good choice, the hotel is minutes walk and quite stunning on first sight. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We had an inside room so no view but it was quiet. Complimentary toiletries, tea facilities, biscuits and fruit were lovely...

Dear Madam Thank you for your review and I am very happy that overall you have enjoyed your stay with us and I would like to offer the following feedback. Stayed here for a weekend stay. Staff all very pleasant and helpful. Room was comfortable especially the bed and clean. Bit of noise from the street as we were going to bed as there are several nightclubs nearby but not enough to stop us sleeping. Breakfast at the Jam Factory - cooked breakfast was exceptionally good. Parked close by as...

Our family stayed here on a weekend for a friend's wedding. The hotel is located within easy reach of the train and bus stations but we chose it because it was associated with the Jam Factory across the road, where the wedding reception was held. We arrived early (checkin is at 2pm) and our bags were taken in while we...

We had the family/triple room for a weekend. Room was very clean and a good size. Nice touches such as a complimentary fruit bowl, bottled water, biscuits and chocolates. Very friendly staff and a good central location. Breakfast was situated in The Jam Factory across the road, and was a great experience. Will definitely book again. Thank you Royal Oxford...

Stayed here while attending a conference in central Oxford. On the plus side it's super close to the station (mins tops), the staff were very helpful and professional and the room was well provisioned with biscuits, fruit and toiletries. But - the decor was extremely dated beyond the reception area and the traffic noise didn't really cease until well after...

First the positive points. The hotel is well located, near the rail station, and close to the centre of the city. The staff on reception are pleasant and helpful. Now the negatives. The hotel is old and has no elevators. The plumbing is really noisy. The matresses need replacing. So do the lumpy pillows. Try as I might I could...

While a bit expensive, the location and size of the hotel were great. It was close to the train station and provided a good base for exploring Oxford. The traffic noise from the street was bothersome, mostly due to the large truck and bus noise coming up, but something that cannot be helped. The size of the room and bathroom...

This hotel is very conveniently located in Oxford. It's close to the station, and also very close to the restaurants and shops. The reception is small, but the staff are efficient and helpful. They have a policy that you must give in your key before leaving. It's a huge unwieldy thing anyway but does beg the question "why"? Our room...
