Visited for a friend’s birthday. Had a weekend in Oxford. About 14 or so of us stayed at the Royal. The hotel was great. We didn’t eat there but others had breakfast on Saturday. Was in a good spot for the centre of Oxford and also for Oxford canal. Very interesting walk to Jericho. Good for station too. Very close. We parked on a driveway just behind station. Less than 300metres from hotel. Booked through ‘my parking space’ I think. No lift but not a Problem for us. Receptionist carried my case up too. Bed very comfortable. Room very clean. Quite warm in room. There was air con I think, but never used it. Just turned of radiator and opened window. Room at back so very quiet but no view. Found out later that another of our friends had rejected the room we had! She wanted on on front. Nightclub on street at front a bit noisy I understand. We didn’t hear it. Staff v helpful. Keys to room which you hand in when you go out. Good price. Little sainsburys underneath. Complimentary water in room. Tea and coffee making facilities. Complimentary toiletries. Happy with it. Would definitely stay again.

Hotel's Favourite
We stayed in room 105 for one night on bank holiday Monday. This is a room on the first floor towards the back of the hotel so no road noise. We got a great deal - £76 for a twin room! We were checked in by a lovely lady who was really helpful and even marked out routes for us on a map. The room itself was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was so nice and modern - lovely large walk in shower too. There’s tea making facilities with complementary biscuits and water etc. A hairdryer is provided, as well as an electric fan in the wardrobe. The rooms have air conditioning anyway so you can always be comfortable. The location is great. We did park and ride from Seacourt and the bus stops very close to hotel. It’s less than a 10 min easy walk into town centre from the hotel - you can’t go wrong. There’s a mini sainsburys directly below the hotel at the front for easy access to essentials etc. Westgate shopping centre 10 min walk along with all other town centre amenities. Would definitely stay here again.

Good location from train station. Also very central to walk to around Oxford. Hotel rooms were comfortable and clean. We had the higher floors which is quieter but a longer climb as the hotel does not come with lifts. You can have breakfast at Platform 5 which has great English breakfast. Or a simple morning walk of 5-6 min into the city center for more choices. Overall good stay. And then front desk staff were always friendly and greeted you with a smile. Thanks for a great stay.

The staff are very friendly and accomodating. We arrived early and asked if we could check in early. The staff managed to check us in at an earlier time and gave us the biggest room. It was very modern and clean (especially the bathroom). We would definitely check in here again on our next visit to Oxford :)

This was an excellent location, for a one night stop meeting family. I would recommend using the park and ride though as overnight parking would have cost us £35, instead we paid £4 to park & £5.50 return for 2. The room was comfortable with fresh fruit and water.
