Travelling from Kidderminster for a visit to the New Oxford Theatre, the Royal was perfectly located. The theatre was less than half a mile away from the theatre and the choices for eating should not have left anything to be desired. The room was adequate for our one night, but you would not want to stay there for a week....

I was visiting for a course at the Said Business school. Hotel is ideally situated for this, and only a short walk to the train station which I managed easily despite my bags. The room was clean and quiet. I appreciated the touches of fresh fruit, coffee, tea, water, cookies very much. Very pleasant experience, no complaints.

Comfortable room with water, fruits, coffee, tea and biscuits, good location (the hotel is near the train station and the city centre) and a very friendly staff. Everything I needed for a short stay in Oxford. I might come back.

Useful location. Mostly friendly staff. Small, but tastefully decorated, clean room with good tea/coffee making facilities and fresh fruit. However... Soundproofing isn't the best. You can clearly hear people's conversations next door. We also had a massive issue with the shower: You need a Phd to operate the damn thing and we couldn't get it to stay warm for love...

Visited the Royal Oxford Hotel was a nice enough place - not anything fancy by all means - the room was small - just a twin bed - the bathroom was large (almost larger than the room itself) The wifi was great - could stream Netflix which is always a nice thing while traveling. The hotel is very close to...

We just stayed for one night and it was perfect for our needs. It isn't glamorous, but it was very clean and perfectly comfortable. The staff were very helpful, and very happy to help. We'll be back. Also, although we didn't venture very far, it seems perfectly placed for a visit to Oxford.

Stayed for just one night. Reception staff very helpful, looking after luggage before we could check in and after we checked out! Gave us a map of Oxford and helped out with directions. Rooms clean, warm, not huge but perfectly adequate for requirements. Bathroom was larger than expected and shower was powerful. Fresh fruit and biscuits in room with usual...

Great hotel, perfect location and seriously helpful staff. Even let us use the staff kitchen to put milk for our toddler and went upstairs to take it, downstairs to warm it up and back upstairs to bring it to our door twice a day. Helpful with my mum who doesn't speak English. Location is amazing. Highly recommended.

Location is perfect only if you arrive at Oxford train station, otherwise not quite worth for what we are paying really. Rooms shockingly tight for the two of us, hard to move in the room. Rate a bit too high. Friendly voice on phone and service but we did expect a bit bigger rooms and posher settings. However, not too...

Dear Nigelgarage123 Thank you for your review and I am sorry you found the rooms too small for your liking. I must highlight here the smallest rooms are 4.5/3.5 meters large and the biggest are 5.5/4.5 meters large. In fact, we receive many complements regarding larger than average size of the rooms, especially in a 3 star hotel. We hope...

Booked a family room which was warm, comfortable and clean. Proximity to town was perfect (five, ten minutes walk max). On a busy junction but quiet at night (although my wife was woken by some young revellers at two in the morning!) The parking is a big plus as the hotel has a deal with Staples for £5 which is...
