Since 2019 we haven't really been able to celebrate much because of Covid, but this year (2022) Covid was clearing up so we decided to book a trip to Oxford because it had been on our list and it was within the UK so we didn't have to worry about anything other than masks and stuff. We had never stayed at an easyHotel before, but the price for 5 days stay was so good we decided to give it a go!

It was super easy to find from the train station when we arrived. We didn't have the app (our phones get too bloated so we didn't really want to download it either) and the lady at the front desk was a pro, helping us check in with a smile and getting us our room key. She was very helpful and gave us a quick overview as to what to expect because the whole idea with easyHotel minimalistic perfection.

Basically the room has exactly enough space for the bed, a TV, a small window area that doubles as a handy shelf space for your suitcase, a couple hooks, and a nice bathroom with a standing shower, sink, and a toilet. It took us a minute to realise the key card also controls the power in the room, which we thought was a very clever way to make sure no power was wasted since when you leave, you take your key card with you and all the power shuts off. Excellent for energy conscious people to appreciate.

Anything we needed, extra TP, towels, whichever we could run down to the concierge desk and speak to anyone working. They were all very helpful and kind anytime we went down and were quick to greet us upon entry or leaving with cheerful smiles, but two standouts in particular were Eva and Jess. When we stopped to ask about changing our checkout to a late checkout they were so quick and had such a wonderful demeanor that we were both thoroughly charmed.

Hubby has stated that whenever he has to travel for work he's going to be looking to see if there is an easyHotel near where he's going. The beds are surprisingly comfortable, even the headboard is designed to be leaned on at the perfect angle whether on a tablet or watching the TV, which was a nice surprise. While we didn't expect to spend a lot of time in the room, when we did come back tired before we went to bed it was very nice to sit side by side and relax.

We would highly recommend easyHotel as a great place to stay, especially if you like walking (we walked back and forth from the city center every day and found amazing pubs and eateries we likely wouldn't have found otherwise because of easyHotel's location! Like the Royal Oak pub which is a real gem and an easy walk from the hotel!)

When we come for another visit we definitely know where we'll be staying! Thank you Eva and Jess and everyone for making my first birthday trip in three years an amazing one!

Diana, Josh and Patrick were so helpful and friendly. Knowledgeable about the city and happy to advise us.
The rooms were exceptional for the price, clean, comfortable and if we needed anything (hairdryer etc) these were available from reception. Ideal location and lots of restaurants and bars.
Highly recommended!

Simple no frills hotel on budget. The room is small as expected (we are small sized folks) but for the price of the room (around 55 GBP) it is alright to be honest. Overall room is quite clean for a 1 night stay. Ours was a room with window. Was allowed to check in a little earlier and hot water can be gotten downstairs at the reception. Hairdryers and extra towels (as they provide only 1 in the room) can be requested. Shampoo dispenser is surprisingly located not in the shower together with the body wash but outside near the handwash sink. The hotel is quite near to the bus stop to city center and also near a tesco and sainsbury. Won't advise walking to city center, better to get the smart zone 1 day pass for 4.20. The staff there are helpful, and they can assist to book for a taxi if needed which we did and managed to reach the rail on time. Taxi is around 5-7 gbp per trip to the city. Thanks Josh and Harriet.

I came to Oxford for a family event, travelling on my own with a 6 month old baby. The double room had a very comfortable mattress and the duvet was light. The air con kept a good temperature and created a little white noise. The blackout curtain covered the small window - I let a chink stay open so I could check the covers in the night - I co-slept with the baby in the middle of the bed as it wasn't possible to put the mattress on the floor or by a wall. There was space enough to keep the buggy unfolded and still get into the bathroom. The Cbeebies channel on the television kept him occupied while I packed our bags and the wifi was good enough to do a video call home. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially Diana, Aura and Eason . The stay was, genuinely, easy

At the time of our visit the hotel was very new and clean.

Although the rooms are very small and do not have very much storage space they are quite well laid out and some coat-hangers as well as a large windowsill to provide space for you to put your bags.

We had an issue with the electrics in our room but Mohammed was very helpful and went out of his way to help reset the fuses and get the room working properly.

Easy Hotel Oxford is perfectly located, it’s in summertown so there are some lovely shops and cafes all within walking distance. There is also a bus stop right outside the hotel where you can catch a direct bus to the centre.

The staff we encountered were great, very friendly, I didn’t catch her name but our first receptionist (young girl with long blonde hair) was so helpful it was a great first impression to the hotel!

The room itself is small but has everything you need with a bed, TV and small bathroom (includes shampoo and body wash but the shampoo is in the shower and body wash is by the sink and can’t be moved so remember that).

We did notice a big cobweb in the room and a few hairs by the sink but otherwise it was mostly clean, the staff will happily give you extra towels / pillows etc.

Personally I wouldn’t want to stay for any longer than a night as the rooms are very small but perfect for a night. We heard no outside noise and no room from within the hotel.

This is the most basic hotel accommodation I have ever had in UK. Potential guests should be aware that the room contains only a double bed and a TV on the wall. There is just enough room to walk around the bed. There is no chair or table or any surface at all to put anything on. There are no coffee/tea facilities in the room. Tea and coffee can be purchased at reception, but if you take them to the room you have to sit on the bed and put your drink on the floor. The bathroom is fine.

Dear Sherpa, Thank you for your feedback regarding your experience at our super-budget hotel. As a super budget hotel (which prides itself on its value for money in one of the best areas in this wonderful city of Oxford) we keep our rates super affordable and only offer basic amenities, and the rest are extra charges so you can tailor your stay to suit your needs and budget. We hope this wasn't too much of an inconvenience to you. We do make the most of every square meter and this is due to our sustainability, environmental policy, and low carbon pledge. So for example we have tried to make maximum use of the space without waste. This also enables us to provide the most competitive price in the area to make a stay in Oxford affordable for all our customers. We hope this was not too much of an inconvenience for you but know that you are helping the environment by staying with us and you have got the best price in the area :) Thank you for staying with us and we look forward to welcoming you back to the hotel. This brand new hotel is well located under 2 miles from the centre of Oxford on the high street of desirable Summertown.
Our rooms were in perfect condition with really comfortable beds and a reasonable shower (although not as powerful as a Premier Inn shower).

The main drawback is that the rooms are incredibly small (possibly half the size of a Premier Inn room) so if there are 2 of you, you have to move out of each others way to get past each other. The shower room is also tiny and you can hear every sound from inside it. There is no kettle, cups or glasses or hairdryer. Very limited clothes hanging space.

Sound-proofing was very good - we could hear no street noise (2nd floor) and little internal noise. So we had an excellent night’s sleep which, actually, is THE most important thing to us. Due to lack of space it’s difficult to spend much time in the room unless you’re actually in/on the bed! Ideal as a ‘crash pad’.

I came to Oxford to visit a friends who is studying, so I only needed a room for a couple of nights. EasyHotel Oxford has a vert minimalist and I would say clean style, the rooms have just what you need. The location is very good since it’s on Banbury Road, one of the main streets of Oxford, it also has 3 grocery stores just around the corner if you want to buy a snack, something that I found very good. Overall I would recommend staying here for short visits, staff are great, Diana and Bruce were on the reception while I was there and had an impeccable service

I did not travel by car to Oxford but use public transport. So I cannot tell you about the car parking facilities. At the prices East hotel is charging I would be surprised if they also have free car parking.

We are indeed a pet-friendly hotel, if it is a guide dog or something to help you then it is free however if it is just a normal pet then it is £10
