I didn't actually stay here but I couldn't let this experience not be recorded. Booked a single room via email in early sept for a late October arrival. Duly arrived Sunday evening and phoned while waiting outside as no one answered the door. Explained who I was but was told there was no record of my booking at all. A... More

Visited a friend staying at the bell house after finishing work nearby. I just popped in to say hi and watch the great british bake off before heading home. I was asked to leave half way through the episode and i missed Matt win star baker. Criminal. Quite unnecessary I thought. So, I guess if you're staying at this 'guest... More

Friendly lady. The room was clean and reasonably comfortable though very dated. Needs bringing out of the 1970s. The breakfast let it down badly. We didn't want full English, I had yogurt and muesli which were fine. Concentrate juice and no choice so poor. My husband had Croissants one of which was frozen in the middle, jam was cheap Hartleys... More

A perfect place to stay after a long day sightseeing in Oxford. Out of town, so quiet countryside and nice clientele. Greeted by polite and welcoming staff, shown to a clean comfortable room, given fresh milk for tea before we wandered downstairs for an amazing meal. Good cooked breakfast.Everything we wanted and needed.

I recently spent 10 days in Oxford visiting friends and colleagues at Oxford Brookes University. Not familiar with the area I went on line and looked for reasonably priced B & B in walking distance to the campus before leaving my home in Japan. I found this gem of a place and was very happy with the service, cleanliness and... More

We were welcomed very well... We felt free and were relaxed into our rooms. .. We booked a double and single room with en suite... The rooms were exactly as they look on the site... Very cosy... The rooms and bathroom were very clean which contributed to an entirely comfortable stay... We opted for the full English breakfast instead of... More

I stayed at Bell House whilst my husband was at the John Radliffe Hospital overnight, just a few minutes down the road. Sue welcomed us warmly and was most helpful in directing my husband as to where he would find the hospital after settling me in. As the only room available on that night was the family room I had... I have to stay in Oxford regularly for work and The Bell House provides a convenient and cheap (for Oxford) option close to my office.
