Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Oh dear. What a letdown. No pitches as they are so bad, due to sinkage etc. Site is sinking i reckon. They are parking peeps on pathways. Row after row even the pathways are so bad, very uneven Water works when it does, electrics the same . Toilet blocks not open. Check out pics

Visited for 3 nights. We knew there were no facilities so that wasn't a problem. The site is very uneven so you will probably need chocks. Site is opposite the park and ride but only takes 20 mins to walk into the city. One day we walked, the next day it was wet so we caught the bus. £5 return for 2 adults and last bus 11.30pm. There is a Tesco Express a 5 min walk and The Duke of Monmouth pub 10 mins walk away serves good food. If you fancy a river stroll 20 mins away is the Isis Farmhouse which is very nice. There is some road/train noise but no worse than other sites we've stayed at. When we went to leave we had trouble with our plug in electrics. The wardens were amazing. We were assured leaving late would not be problem and both had a go at resolving the issue. Whilst on the phone to the AA they fixed it with an alignment tool! All this in the pouring rain!!

Enjoyed a great 2 night stay at this site. Tony in particular was so friendly and helpful. After seeing us set up on site he came back over with brochures and tons of information that made our stay so lovely. Its a shame this team is moving on because they created a great atmosphere on site while we were there. The site toilets were closed and this does need to be sorted asap, but it didn't spoil our stay. A great position for visiting Oxford. Well Done!

Visited this site in July as a couple with our dog. The site is well looked after and the staff were very friendly. The toilets are closed from 10.30am till 12noon which i always find very inconvinient however they were cleaned to a high standard. There are only 4 female showers so found myself q'ing at times. There is a very old hair dryer in the toilets but nowhere to plug your own in. There are lots of toilets and sinks. You do require a code to enter the toilet which was fristrating on day 1 and 2 when we kept forgetting this. We had a non electric pitch in the far corner and were told to keep between the red posts, this meant with our VW and awning we felt very squashed in and had neighbours who were very close to us! Definatly the smallest pitch we have ever had but others woth electric didnt look that bad. There is nowhere walk the dog on site which isnt ideal for dog owers. The site itself is about 15 mins to a pub on the river called Isis farmhouse. Its lovely on a sumersday and serves great food. Another 15 mins walk down the river takes you into oxford.

The staff at this park are very rude! We arrived about 8 minutes early and were spoken to like a piece of dirt! My husband got out of our motorhome to go inside and pay and he was today to get back in Van and they would come to us! It was like we were an Inconvenience to them! The park is well located to a park and ride however nect to a train line and it’s noisy ! We would never want to go there again!

We arrived and drove through a narrow ish entrance as there is an’ Outdoors’ shop/warehouse on the road frontage. Not immediately obvious that this is the campsite entrance. We had had a long, hot and tiring journey, we were greeted with friendly staff. Told where to pitch and again very friendly and helpful. We had our dog with us, there is nowhere to walk him apart from the site to do his ablutions, I am very aware that other people are camping in tents and mindful of this, so not ideal. We did take him out along the pavements and verges. Noisy from main road and railway line. The site is very uneven. We did not use the campsite facilities so can’t comment on them as we are in a motorhome with our own shower/loo. Had hookup. We had booked for two nights, but left after one night to go home. It was too hot even with all our windows open and blinds drawn and we were not in the shade I didn’t even see Oxford apart from when we where driving to find the campsite. There is an ULEZ area in central Oxford, although we are ( supposedly) compliant when I checked it didn’t recognise our vehicle. So I paid the £4.00 charge retrospectively. There is a Park and Ride opposite the campsite to central Oxford. Im not sure I would want to stay on the site again.

We arrived after a 3 hour drive w many delays and after repeatedly trying to call to let them know we would arrive late. No one picked up and we hoped for the best after attempting to leave a message. We rolled in around 10:30 w all gates closed. After a few moments a woman came out to tell us the park closes at 5:30 and we should have called. After explaining that we did indeed call and could not get thru she brought a nice man over to help get us thru, but she continued to complain the whole time. We were so exhausted we climbed into bed. The trains going by woke us up a couple times but we were able to sleep in a bit. When I went to use the toilet and shower at 10am, I was told it was closed until 1pm and I couldn't use it. I was floored. Checkout was not until noon- and we had paid £40 to stay on a grass patch with no hookup, no toilet access, and made to feel like a major inconvenience. I had to use the men's room and the outdoor kitchen washing area to brush my teeth given I had no other access to water. Given the other options in the area, stay anywhere but here.

This is a clean site with good facilities. So far nothing to distinguish it from many campsites. The plus points are the welcome from the staff, who obviously enjoy their work and want to help their guests. Local information is provided and there is a small shop and washing and drying machine. The site is very tidy, there are even carefully nurtured flower beds along the paths, grass is kept short and clippings picked up. The shower block is not modern but it is spotlessly clean. It's close to Oxford and there are useful shops nearby. Price is less than many I have visited.

There are quite a few negative reviews on here but I actually don’t understand! Our welcome couldn’t have been more lovely and the chap that took us to our pitch was chatty and super friendly! It’s a great location for the city with a short bus journey taking you right into the centre. Yes there are roads around and a bit of traffic but Oxford is a city so you should expect a little noise from your surroundings ; it’s not bad at all! Facilities are dated but clean and functional; had a lovely hot shower in the mornings! We stayed a couple of nights as watched a show at the new theatre on the Saturday; worked really well for us! It’s just a base for exploring ; it’s not all singing all dancing , club houses etc but served its purpose and the staff were all extremely friendly! Would definitely stay again!

Fabulous Camping and Caravanning site, easy to find, great pitches, lovely welcome even in the pouring rain. (Thank you Anita) The facilities are older but the cleanest and tidiest we have been too, the site well maintained and everything is well signposted and easy to find. Such easy access to Oxford along the Thames path and great places to eat within walking distance. Would definitely stay again, thank you
