I have stayed at many other branded Hotels and this one is most definitely better than most. It was a 3 night stay and everyday the room was spotlessly cleaned with tea and coffee replenished, fresh towels when requested. Check in is quick and painless, bar and restaurant on site were good and the lay out of the rooms was perfect. Drawers, hanging space with plenty of hangers, huge bath and shower and the heating worked well. The only minor complaint I have was the breakfast on the last day. Sausages were under cooked and the eggs were a congealed mess although these were replenished after a quiet word. Comfortable bed and quiet room and close to other restaurants and main street shops. Don't forget to have your car park token scanned as it is then half price!

Booked a night away as a bit of a mental break as a couple. The staff let us check in an hour early which was very appreciated! Check-in was very quick, easy and contactless. We had upgraded to a Deluxe Executive King Room. The bed was obviously huge and very comfortable. You could tell that we had upgraded as there were drinks and little extras in the room. We were given some vouchers for a free free Costa Coffee from the bar which was very nice. The room had an extremely well stocked tea/coffee station anyway. The size of the room, however, wasn't as large as expected and there was no bath which I would have expected when upgrading. Nothing major but could be a big deal for some people. The hotel had adapted brilliantly to the current circumstances - sanitiser by the lifts, reception etc., the room had a "sanitised" hanger on the door upon arrival as well as extra "sanitised" labels attached to things like the toilet, TV remote control etc. which was a nice extra touch. Would absolutely stay again when in Sheffield.

Booked the Jurys Inn in all honesty because it was in the right area, reasonably priced and the reviews sounded good for what I required.
Booked for myself and my two daughters, mum and sister to stay in after a concert at the Arena.
Requested 2 rooms and asked for these close together and noted it was for a birthday celebration.
The rooms were next to each other, they decorated the room for my girls with balloons, cards each and birthday message on the mirror (really nice touch and well received).
Rooms were really clean and although basic, were well laid out, even for three of us in one. Beds were super comfy. No outside noise. Light blocked out well with curtains (really dark .. so much so we slept in) Communal spaces were light and airy and clean.
There is an NCP car park right opposite, easy to get too, which cost just £7 with a voucher from hotel reception upon check-out.
Regular bus (X1) to the Arena too ... just a 2 min walk from hotel. (Stop ES3 at Moor Market/Eyre Street. To Attercliffe Common/Amberley Street. Bus journey was 17mins and a 4 min walk to the arena when we got off. Cost just £10 return for three people).

Bar was good after returning from concert, but we didn't eat here, so can't comment on food. Plenty of room to sit comfortably together and chat about the evening over a drink. All in all would definitely recommend :) Thank you to the staff who went the extra mile for the decorating of the room too :)

I am sure that the vast majority of guests at the Sheffield Jury’s hotel will have an enjoyable faultless stay yet this was not the case for me.

The welcome was excellent from Frankie, professional, efficient and friendly shame this was not replicated by the deputy manager Anna who was far from the same and in some aspects being rude.

I stayed as the hotel re-opened after lockdown; the majority of the amenities were still not in operation, which was fine due to this being conveyed to me before booking.

The executive room was good but could be so much better with a few improvements including the air conditioning heating being operational, the sheets on the bed fitting, the kettle being clean, and the shower being more powerful and have an improved showerhead, was expecting a coffee machine and a less compact room is an upgraded room type.

The hotel is in a good location in the heart of the city, yet a good twenty minute walk from the railway station and the public transport interchange.

Personally, I cannot recommend the hotel but I am sure that most will have no issues if they do stay.

There’s currently substantial construction work taking place under and around the hotel. Firstly it looks terrible when you approach the hotel, but most annoyingly, they will happily allocate you a room where you’re unable to sleep because of it.

We had no warning of the noise or even offered to upgrade (we would have done it if it meant we could sleep!)

Drilling, reversing diggers, hammering and even the builders’ singing made it impossible to sleep and, quite frankly, unpleasant to even stay in the room so we checked out before 9am (12pm check out).

After calling reception, she explained that the hotel have complained to the council regarding the noise, in particular the, “early morning drilling”, and that they “shouldn’t be doing it” due to “other complaints”. Obviously they are very aware of the noise, yet no warning when booking or checking in?

We then complained to the lady on reception, she took my email and said the duty managed Lisa Smith would get in touch?? The receptionist also offered Lisa’s email to us, however, this also bounces back...?

Ultimately, we wouldn’t stay here again, yes it was slightly better value than some others, but terrible service and the rooms are looking tired.
Room was also very small with a double and single crammed in (we only booked a double).

Breakfast is extortionate at £22 (yes they do the 50% Mon-Weds), but it’s still expensive at that.

I was really disappointed after staying at Jury’s Sheffield on Friday the 11th March and I wanted to share my experience and make other travellers aware.
I had asked to be located in a quiet room at check this was given with the assurity the 9th floor would be free from noise. However, I later found out late in the evening it wasn’t with the noise of a thudding bass beat from house music of the neighbouring nightclub with this disturbance polluting the room until 06.00am in the morning when it stopped at closing time next door. I stated my experience on check out and the receptionist Matt/Mati stated ‘this is what you need to expect when staying in a city centre location’ I was astounded with his retort.
I booked a superior package which included a newspaper, 10% lunch/dinner discount during your stay, Late check-out until 2pm. Daily complimentary regular size Costa coffee per guest during your stay. Supported on me written confirmation having booked direct with Jury’s online. However, when asking for a newspaper I was told they only given to Executive rooms. I showed my confirmation to Matt/Mati who then backed down and simply said sorry. I later learnt they don’t offer newspapers anymore at this property. The Costa machine is broken so again another service I’d paid for that could not be offered either. I received nothing to state I was entitled to a 10% discount in their restaurant
How can a hotel advertise something then don’t offer, this breaks Trading Standards? This is not what I would have expected of a four-star property. So please beware if you are considering booking a room at this property what you are actually getting what you pay, their levels of service, and where this property is are located in Sheffield unless you’re in the nightclub scene.

Awful hotel. Prices beyond belief £9 glass of wine. Food in hotel pizza £15 and had little topping on. Spaghetti and meatballs was £15 which my 8 year old cleared. Room not spacious at all . We stayed Monday to Friday and despite twice putting sign on for room to be cleaned it never was and on the Thursday despite putting rubbish outside door they took that but ignored sign. For 2 adults and 1 child had no tea and coffee from the Tuesday and no fresh bath towels, nowhere in room to dry them and they were not replaced. Breakfast was terrible for the price so we ended up finding a Wetherspoons and eating there. Also mould in the bathroom and 2 toilet rolls for 3 people forv5 days.

Good Morning Patricia, Thank you for taking the time to review your stay. We are delighted to hear that you found the staff exceptional especially Anna and Natalie. We are going to make sure to let them know about your very kind words. We are sorry to hear that you found the room not to be of our normal cleanliness standards. Unfortunately, external factors outside of our control have made it difficult for us to deliver our usual standard of product and service. As you have no doubt become aware, the impact of the pandemic, the shortage of available labour, and faced with supply chain issues continues to present significant challenges for the hospitality industry. As a result of these factors, in this instance, we fell short of our usual cleanliness standards and for this I sincerely apologise. We are working with our housekeeping teams to ensure that this issue does not re-occur and we look forward to welcoming you back to Jurys Inns and Leonardo hotels in the future. Kind Regards Rezmi Customer Experience Team

Stayed here Friday until Monday with no hot water for first two days,
Ordered Haddock & thick cut chips second night & said wouldn't eat here again, smallest haddock I've ever been served, thick cut chips were fries and peas were undercooked and cold for a pretty expensive £16.95 .
Was given 6 x complimentary Costa coffee tokens on arrival & still had them after 3 days as no staff there to serve on any morning.
Hotel was very busy this weekend with events happening nearby & staff were short, room was clean & tidy though, all staff apart from one were polite & friendly, stayed in jury's inn Birmingham fair few times last few years with no problems. Overall it is a nice hotel & these minor problems could easily be put right.

Lovely hotel. Well worth the small amount extra for a superior room. Staff could have been more helpful, informative & in some cases, not all, friendly! Situated in the heart of the city the location is perfect & parking in a multi storey just a short distance away which was discounted to £7 a day by having the chip pinged at reception.
