We stayed at the Doubletree after a celebration nearby in Dronfield (the Manor Hotel, Dronfield was full). The room was excellent with a great bathroom. Breakfast was good but could be warmer as we find in hotels with buffet breakfast.

Although we only had one meal (breakfast) in the hotel, this was because we didn't think we would be able to justify the amount of food and cost. We were welcomed or arrival by Harry who seemed to be available on most times that we visited reception and he proved very helpful. With DoubleTree, you know what to expect and we were not disappointed. Additionally, we were offered daily, occasional or no room sterilisation and we felt that was an excellent option. Rooms so treated were clearly marked and "sealed" with a very visible sticker.

Travelling south and along the A61 the hotel was well signposted and I was pleased that no charge was levied for car parking.

My Husband booked a one night stay for us and our 4 year old as a stop off before visiting Yorkshire Wild Life Park the next day. We stayed in a one bedroom suite where our little girl had her own bedroom and tv which she was over the moon about. The room was a good size but it definitely needs updating and it could have been cleaner. We didn’t know that booking for the pool was needed and when we found out and asked it was fully booked so we were unable to use which was very disappointing. Breakfast was a continental help yourself buffet and a cooked breakfast buffet which was served to you upon request. As the hotel wasn’t very busy the cooked breakfast seemed to have been sat there a long time so it wasn’t the best. My Husband ordered porridge which was cooked and served fresh which he said was the best porridge he’s had! Overall I won’t be in a rush to stay here again.

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights.

Pros:
Very clean
Friendly and helpful front of desk staff
COVID secure- rooms were cleaned down and had extra measures in place

BREAKFAST:
They offered a very good service here- they had tea and coffee for yourself to collect, and same with fruit, snacks, etc: because if covid they offered hot food but you were served by an employee to ensure nothing was contaminated.

CONS
Lack of towels in the room
Shower was great, but the floor gets soaked

Would definitely stay again

Having stayed in this hotel two years ago, I had a good idea of what to expect in terms of service and the quality of the rooms and so when an event came up in Doncaster I decided to book for myself and two friends.
We stayed in a Deluxe Room which was nicely furnished and clean and the third bed, which I was expecting to be on the smaller size was bigger than I thought.
As one of our party was celebrating a birthday during our stay, there was a kind gesture of some treats left in the room which I think she appreciated.

The three of us had a good night sleep but unfortunately the breakfast the following morning was a disappointment. There were no available tables when we came down so we were asked to wait in the bar area for one to become available but whilst there, another party of three that had arrived after us were seated before us and eventually we were asked if we would mind eating in the bar area because the only other alternative would be to squeeze us on a table for two. We opted to sit in the bar area however there were no cups for hot drinks, no glasses for juices and there was a long wait for cooked items to be replenished. The assistant bringing out the hot items was rushed off her feet and apologised profusely every time she came out of the kitchen for the wait, almost embarrased by the chaos.
Considering that this is a four star hotel and we had paid extra for breakfast, this experience was a disappointment on what was an otherwise enjoyable stay. I almost feel that when the hotel is busy, timed slots for breakfast should be in operation to ease the pressure at breakfast.

Stayed there in middle of July for a few nights and found quite surprising that Hotel is charging it’s usual rate providing 50% quality - no room service, no gym / spa, no restaurant but very limited breakfast. Reception was not always attended.
Room service could be provided when guests are out - what is the difficulty? Or at least hotel should provide more towels and toiletries. Carpets need cleaning throughout especially in the lift. Other than that it was a good stay with super attentive staff but they should reconsider their room charges as one don’t entirely get what they paid for.

Came to Sheffield for Britain’s strongest man at the FlyDSA. Should have chosen a closer hotel. This hotel was a 20 min Uber to the venue so not the best location if you want to be closer to the city.
Very noisy hotel you can hear all movement in the upstairs and next door rooms, and a bit of road noise.
Staff felt a bit rushed and inexperienced, lots of waiting around in the bar and breakfast restaurant.

We got married and had our reception here. It was a brilliant day.... however upon reflection numerous negative moments are remembered and this is something i wish to not reflect upon when thinking of my wedding day:
Our came topper was thrown away! This was a sentimental keepsake from our wedding which i wanted to save and cherish! It was personalised and obviously something i paid for.
They also cut the cake up but never handed it out as discussed during our wedding planning. This then all got thrown away!! I paid a lot of money for our cake to be wasted.
The hotel did not sort a seating plan and name plaques as discussed which meant guests had to wait in the bar for a long time until this was sorted. This caused me stress on the day as people from the hotel kept approaching me asking me questions over and over again which we had already answered during the wedding planning.
Our wedding planner was not there on the day and clearly did not handover our plans correctly.
They tried to charge breakfast again the day after.
They did not include the bridesmaids rooms or book it in the overall price which i thought was paid for. Therefore had to pay another £200.
The garden area was very untidy/mucky with rubbish and cigarette ends. I expected this to have been tidied prior to our wedding as we had paid a lot of money and this also impacted our photographs.
My parents room was booked incorrectly as i asked for a room with three beds for my disabled brother to sleep in. But no extra bed was set up until we raised the issue.
They also tried charging us for an extra 25!!! Adult meals which luckily was rectified when i raised this issue.
Overall i feel the hotel was very unorganised after all the planning and money spent this was so negative and when i think back to my wedding day although there was extreme joy i do feel some negative emotions and some upset especially around the loss of cake topper as no apology was made.

We were expecting a decent hotel when we booked this Hilton venue and for the price of £219 for 2 nights we expected it to be alright, far from it…

We arrived and were immediately told that we had to pay £10 per person per day for breakfast on check in or it would be £15.95 per person per day if we didn’t, I asked to booked one day and was told no I have to pay for every day of the stay. We did have the breakfast one morning and for £31.90 it was unpleasant, the hash browns undercooked yogurt smelt weird and bacon extremely fatty, we ate elsewhere after this I would recommend the Toby carvery 2 minutes down the road for £5.95 per person

Onto the room, we stayed in room 20, there were plenty of amenities including a large TV, Hairdryer, iron + Board, Safe and a small fridge. The bathroom was decent and the shower had good pressure and heated up extremely quickly, unfortunately the shower bracket was broken and wrapped up with duct tape. The bathroom door had been damaged by a previous tenant as well. On inspecting the cleanliness we found a load of dead flys in the windowsill, we decided to leave them to see if the maid service cleaned them, shocker they didn’t!

After the first night we used some milk and coffee with the provided kettle, on returning from a day out we found that the coffee and milk had not been replenished and the bins not emptied. The TV had limited service as well struggling to get signal from all channels except 1-5.

Maybe we shouldn’t have gone in with high expectations but when one stays in a Hilton you expect it to be nice and at least clean and we didn’t even get this, would not recommend staying here

Me and my partner stayed here lastnight. We have nothing major to complain about really!!
I wouldn’t say the hotel was amazing but i wouldn’t say it was bad either :)
The room was exactly as it showed on the picture, the bathrooms are lovely and we had a plug sockets next to each bedside which is always a good thing.
The receptionists was fab, anything we asked for they was happy to help!!
On the bed you get 4 pillows which seem to go flat once you lay down, so we had to call reception and ask for a few more pillows in which they was happy to bring to our room so Thankyou for that!
I have recently been a guest at a few Hilton’s all in which you have to pay abit extra to use the spa but in this one the pool & sauna was included which is a nice little bonus!
My robe had a few tiny marks on it like someone had split something and it had stained- and the bedding had this also but Nether the less we had a pleasant stay and if were ever in the area again we would probably book a room here, thanks for making us feel welcome.
