We recently visited our son and needed a convenient B&B. Hardwick House came recommended by the former owners of the Psalter House. From our very first contact we felt reassured that this was going to be good experience as it proved to be. Our room was clean -warm and the the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was freshly cooked and was...

We found this place just searching B&B's for the weekend whilst visiting my finacee's daughter at UNI, not far from Sheffield train station, quirky B&B , lovely welcoming hosts, had a really good nights sleep, comfy bed, cosy room (Victorian Gentleman's room) nice and warm, always piping hot water, lovely rolled top bath ensuite, breakfast cooked fresh in front of...

I was heading to a gig at The Greystones last week and found this B&B online via a search. Booking was simple as was finding them. Room provided was excellent and breakfast was freshly cooked as I came down the next morning. It's a well run B&B and the owners were great with helping me orientate my way there including...

Hardwick House is a real home from home. It definitely is a quirky individual house, and what a delight compared to sterile hotel rooms. We felt welcome immediately and were very comfortable indeed in the large twin bedded room. (Don't understand a previous review that said it had no bathroom - it has a large bathroom with a china cabinet...

Good points first. Location great, view of Sheffield ok (well it's only Sheffield). The owner are great also. Breakfast ok but not wonderful. I loved the idea of eating in the kitchen, but would expect the kitchen to be spotless (washing up left in sink and sides not clear). We had a bathroom but the twin room didn't (I notice...

We keep on returning because it is always so friendly and helpful. We have been able to arrive at potentially inconvenient hours. The room we like (the Victorian) is comfortable, and the breakfasts are good.

This is a B&B. As such it reflects, and stands or falls by the personality of the owners and the welcome you receive from them. In this respect we thought it was wonderful. We felt at ease, relaxed and entertained during our stay. The food and bed were also excellent This place doesn't have the plastic sterility of a chain...

We only had one night to stay somewhere near the Eccleshall area of Sheffield and when we found Hardwick House on the web we thought 'That's the one for us!'. And so it proved to be; delightfully shabby-chic and full of quirky interest and with friendly hosts. Not only that the beds in our twin room were really comfortable and...

It's not everywhere you can choose between a Victorian and a Scandinavian room, both with great views over Sheffield. Very friendly couple running the B&B. The breakfasts are lovely, and use their own eggs. We were staying near our daughter and son-in-law, and it was no trouble to have them for breakfast too. Spent most of the day at the...

So our third stay at Hardwick House, and first choice when visiting our student son in Sheffield. The location is ideal, a big detached house just minutes walk from the Botanic Gardens and the many restaurants and pubs around Eccleshall Road and Hunters Bar, yet a haven of tranquility down a quiet side road and with great views of the...
