As the title says words cannot describe how bad this place was. We were attending a friend's wedding in Sheffield so we didn't need luxury or anything fancy but neither of us were prepared for this dump of a place. The owner was friendly and welcoming and that is the only positive thing about Thornsett House. It was dirty and...

On arrival was offered a cup of coffee straight away. The beds are very comfy had a great nights sleep. Des is a lovely guy who could not do enough for us. Tasty cooked breakfast at the time we asked for. Had a fantastic couple of days there with lots of chatter and laughter, would definitely stay again if in...

I arrived upon entering the room I asked if they could change the tea cup, which looked dirty before I handed over the cash for the room, I saw a nail clipping on the floor. When I pointed this out I couldn't believe the attitude of the management saying I've only been there 2 minutes and that I was being...

Charming old house and Des couldn't have been friendlier or more welcoming. He didn't mind at all that I would be arriving very late on my first night and even gave me a lift to the train station (at 7am) when I left after 4 nights. Great value for money.

Des, is a very friendly guy. The Hotel was easy to find and FREE parking on a nice quiet street. Good central location and nice surrounding areas. Easy Access to both the countryside and city. Room was a little dated and but adequate for single man going about his business. For the price (£30 Bed and Breakfast) I think it...

Just a simple, excellent value B&B. It's an old house, with the entire upstairs area used for guests. There were 3 rooms, I think, all with individual locks. I asked for a single room, but only a twin was available, which I was given at no additional cost. The room was spacious and clean. There was one shared bathroom with bath,...

Des couldnt have been more friendly and helpful. I thank him for a warm room and a comfortable bed. He was there to greet me with a much needed cup of tea late at night. He doesnt stand on ceremony , which suited me well. A very kind gentleman who provides a good old fashioned bed and breakfast which was...

The owner Des is hospitable and accommodating, and it would be fine if you don't mind the pervasive smell of the place and all your clothes reeking of cigarettes. One of us could not sleep because of it. The accommodation and breakfast was basic and dated with soft mattresses but we had no problems with cleanliness. It is certainly good...

I was very lucky to finding the Thornsett House. It was the perfect place for me to stay for several days. It is a lovely place to be (comfortable and clean, with a nice bath); its host, Des, is a very kind person, a gentleman who made me feel at home. His hospitality in welcoming guests is something I really...
