I stayed at this hotel for work purposes.

It's very easy to get to from Sheffield Railway Station (10 minutes by taxi or 15 minutes on foot or 10 minutes by bus). You can easily go shopping by going to Moor Market (10 minutes on foot).

The room was clean and the services were great. The staff paid attention to detail by unplugging electrical appliances for safety. The hotel provides complimentary breakfast which was great.

I will definitely stay there again when visiting Sheffield.

We stayed for 3 nights while visiting Sheffield. We had searched for a reasonably priced hotel in a good location with a gym and car park.
Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, particularly Tracy in the restaurant at breakfast who could not have done more to help make our stay enjoyable.
Breakfast included most things you could wish for and takeaway bags / cups are available for those dashing off quickly!
Rooms are clean and comfortable with all expected facilities. The location is good - about 5 minute walk from the City Centre, Winter Gardens, The Crucible etc.
Beds are firm but pillows were very soft and not at all supportive. Spent the nights turning and thumping them to get some support back! Tea and coffee were supplied but not everything was replenished daily and cups / glasses not washed / changed on some days.
Gym was small but would meet most needs for a short stay. Unfortunately both treadmills in the gym were out of order for our entire stay.
The car park cost £12.50 a day, had plenty of space but the spaces are fairly small.
Overall a very pleasant stay in a reasonably priced hotel where you’re made to feel very welcome. I would definitely return but bring my own pillow next time!

Stayed here for one night to break up travelling. Lovely welcome and nice accomodation. Comfy bed to sleep in. Great location to see Sheffield, not a long walk from the centre which we enjoyed a look around. Some nice sights to see. The breakfast was good, a variety of food on offer which was enjoyed by us all and included with the room.

Parked in the car park which was 12.50 for 24 hours, you arrange at reception to get discounted rate. No issues with same.

Staff were friendly. Would stay again.

Visited this hotel as previous accommodation let us down.
It would not have been our choice but we couldn't find anywhere else on a Saturday evening. The hotel reception area is clean as are the rooms.
The down side was Breakfast the dining area is disappointing with no tables being cleared between customers also on the second morning there was no sausage no beans and the scrambled eggs were disgusting.
There was only one member of staff trying to keep the system topped up and clear away dirty dishes in other words staff shortage.
The morning they ran out of certain foods we were told there was no delivery,if the management had been more efficient he could have sent someone to the local supermarket.
Secondly they charge over £120.00 a night plus £12.50 to park the car ,this is not what I call budget price.
On the second morning the room wasn't refreshed so I asked why and was told you have to ask as this was not part of the service unless you do ask ,we were not told this when we booked in.
On the last day the Breakfast food had improved but still untidy surrounds.
We have definitely had better Breakfasts at cheaper hotels. Wont book a Hilton Hotel again ever.

Arrived after 10 hour journey to find there was no bar service as such no beer (apparently down to supplier) When we asked to see menu for the restaurant also told no food just soup and pizza was all they could offer! We paid £125.00 per night for this average room with no facilities at the hotel. Staff could not have cared less. My point was that we should have been informed if they could not meet the facilities that they advertised. That was the reason we booked that hotel so when we arrived we could get food and drink. The duty manager said oh no you are only paying for your room!! Really..
We asked to speak to the Manager and were told to come back in the morning which we did. The duty manager told us she was busy on the phone and couldnt speak to us, we said we would wait, he then came back and told us she would be at least half an hour. Again we said thats fine we will wait. After 10 mins he came back again saying that she would now be .. an hour!! I asked if he was having a laugh. He said she was on the phone to head office. I dont think Head Office would have been too pleased that she was ignoring customers needing to speak to her and being ignored. Clearly she did not want to speak to us so we gave up.
Breakfast was poor, one young guy who was on reception the night before was just stood leaning against a wall doing nothing whilst tables etc needed cleaned. The chef and I say chef in the loosest possible terms was ignorant and did not speak or smile & looked dirty. I asked if he had more bread for the toaster which he got out of a cupboard and grabbed about 8 slices of bread with his bare hands and left his finger imprints in the bread.. nice. I told him he should be wearing gloves to which he just grunted again.
All staff need to go on a customer service course and a hygiene course
Were were told if we didnt like the hotel we could go find somewhere else (at 9pm at night in the pouring rain)!
Quite a trek up to the city centre too after advertised as central.
In the morning as we ate out breakfast there was a french guy walking around in bare feet so clearly no standards at this place.

AVOID... we certainly will be

Stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. Although a 15 minute walk from the city centre, the hotel was clean and presented with lovely and well arranged furniture and decor.
The beds were comfortable, although my pillows felt well used and not firm.
The room including the bathroom was very clean. Plenty of towels were provided and a good amounts of complimentary hand soap, shower gel and shampoo were also provided.
There was a good selection of continental breakfast, but variety of items were reduced due to Covid-19. The pain au chocolates were especially nice!.
The staff I came across seemed happy to help and friendly.

Stayed one night on a Friday, the check in was smooth and the gentleman helpful, actually very helpful on the desk.
at £85 per room it wasn't good value for a solo traveller, would be OK for two sharing though.
The breakfast was included and was OK with a reasonable choice, the room was large with double bed and a pull down sofa to make another if 4 were sharing.
It was clean, not spotless, the TV didn't have a lot of choice, shower was good and toiletries are provided.
No noise from surrounding rooms which is a good thing.
Got a good nights sleep in a comfy bed.
The biggest grip is the car park charge of £12.50 per night, no hotel should charge for parking, although it seems the done thing now having had to fork out £30 at a Holiday Inn for 3 nights in Hull. There are minimal spaces for the size of the hotel, probably no more than 20
The hotel is about 10/15 minutes to the centre and the night life and we chose a taxi ordered from reception.
Would I stay again? Yes if I was sharing but as a solo I wouldn't because £100 inc car park is not value for money and I know there are other hotels just as good and cheaper.

I quite like the Hampton by Hilton brand, they’re budget but so handy for work and leisure. I’d stayed at this hotel a few years ago and thought I’d stay again as the location was handy for my work.

Check in was pretty painless, I tried to set up the digital key, but it didn’t appear on my phone so took the plastic key instead. For some reason the front desk wanted to preauthorise £1.50 on my card? The check in area is clean and open and the bar is adjacent to the reception. There are two lifts just off reception and a small lift tucked away behind the breakfast area (great for busy mornings).

The room was a decent size, chair, small desk, comfortable seat and foot rest, queen bed and ample power sockets. Some of the newer hotels have USB charging but not here. There’s a great full size mirror as you walk in too. Overall the room was clean, although I dropped something on the floor and found under the bed hasn’t been cleaned properly (vape container under it).

The bathroom was clean, but tired. Black mould and the sink was cracked. The shower was hot, good pressure and a heated mirror. The thing I like about Hampton is that it comes with ironing board and hairdryer in each room, so there’s not much that’s not catered for. The one thing missing was a safe in the room.

Breakfast is standard Hampton, you can’t go too wrong with it built into the price. A few extras here I hadn’t seen in other Hampton’s, such as ham, fruit and a waffle maker. The staff were incredibly friendly.

I’d suggest bringing ear plugs and an eye mask with you, most hotels you are shielded from corridor sounds by the bathroom. Here, my bed was next to the door. A cacophony of slamming doors, talking couples and really bad road noise meant I didn’t have the best sleep. If you’re a light sleeper like me, who needs darkness the curtains are too short and don’t keep the light out, so when the sun starts coming up early, you know it.

This stay didn’t seem as good as my last. Not sure I’d stay here again if in Sheffield for work, I suspect it’s more the place you stay on a night out.

Hotel rooms are really small and over priced, limited parking and not up to the standard of the Hilton brand. I paid £175 for one night in a double for a very small room overlooking the car park. The breakfast was help yourself and whilst the continental side was plentiful in terms of cereals and cold waffles/pancakes the cooked breakfast was very disappointing.

I booked this hotel on the recommendation of my Inlaw while planning to attend her wedding.
Though I’m a Hilton Honors member and I’ve stayed in several Hilton hotels including DoubleTree ones, this was my first time of staying in Hampton by Hilton. Hampton appears to be of a lesser class to DoubleTree.
I requested for early checkin on my booking which could not be guaranteed when I called on the day of my checkin, as I was told the hotel was fully booked. Dropped off bags at the hotel to go for the church wedding, came back around 3pm to checkin before going to the reception party, allocated room not ready but they were able to give me another room.
The hotel room was clean.
Not very impressed with the quality of breakfast which is said to be ‘complimentary’.
Not impressed with hotel staff or housekeeping banging on people’s doors before checkout to gain access to clean rooms … I would expect reception to provide housekeeping with details of rooms that are vacant for cleaning.
All in all, I had a nice stay with no issue.

There is a park towards the back of the hotel roughly 8 mins walk They charge 2.50 for overnight parking it’s in a one way system and the reception should be able to give you directions and it’s free to park at the hotel for your initial check in Hope this helps
