Great customer service from Wendy at checking recommend places for drinks. Later in the evening Wendy was behind the bar again very polite.
Rooms clean and tidy as you would expect from Premier Inn. Breakfast was all the usual stuff and hot.
In all a good stay.

Visited on 13th July with friends as we were attending a show at City Hall. Followed the satnav code but after half an hour going in circles, we had to pull over and get directions from google maps. Think if we had put in code for the car park it would've taken us a direct route but the email didn't state this.
Directions out of the car park were well signposted - needed to go through an underpass/tunnel, which was ok as it was daytime, but wouldn't want to do it at night time.
Arrived at reception (unmanned) behind 2 other people trying to book in. The 2 automated check-in hubs didn't appear to be working and when a member of staff eventually arrived, this was confirmed, but no notice had been applied to the machines.
Rooms were as expected, having been a frequent visitor to Premier Inns, the main reason this was booked was because we know what to expect and of course the reasonable prices.
Didn't expect to be woken at 7am with what sounded like 'workout music' accompanied by what we assumed was loudly voiced instructions? When we enquired about this from reception, the staff member knew which floor we were on as she had already had some other complaints.
Also didn't expect for Breakfast to be such a shambles - when we went down at 9am there was only one lady who, to her credit, was trying to book people in, fill up the food and drink stations, clear the tables, take orders for specialist meals and serve them. We stood waiting for our table to be cleared and for the empty juice jugs to be filled, where one customer told us she had asked 20 mins previously and was still waiting, even though she had finished breakfast. My friends ordered poached eggs, which all came with the yolks set. No black pudding available. When I went to make toast there was only one slice of bread left. I proceeded to toast this and noticed there were no fried eggs on the counter so asked the solitary member of staff for some. By the time they arrived, my toast was cold and anyway, the yolks were set hard again.
In hindsight, there is a Wetherspoons just around the corner, which we could have enjoyed a better breakfast at.
I would stay here again, as the location is perfect for City Hall, but I would request a room other than on floor 1 and not pay for breakfast.
Clearly staff shortages have impacted the service, as at most hotels, which is a shame, but I have tried to give a fair review.

First time visiting Sheffield and chose this hotel, we were not disappointed at all. We booked 2 nights so we could see the snooker and explore the city, the hotel was perfect for this as the location was central. We had a Premier Plus room and were very happy with the level of comfort and noise. These rooms are on the 5th floor and we hardly had any noise inside the hotel which is really important. Outside noise wasn't bad, there were sirens at certain times but that's city life. Already looking at booking for next year. Do be aware the restaurant is small so you might queue for breakfast at peak times. Also make sure you get a parking discount ticket if you use the nearby NCP, it really cuts down costs considerably

Have stayed at this hotel several times. The premium rooms are all on the top floor and are well worth the extra - nicely decorated and no noise. Hotel in not the best part of the city but in easy reach of everything.

Non premium rooms are new and clean but if you have someone in the room above then you will not get a good night's sleep - at times I thought the ceiling was coming down.

Premium rooms 5 stars.

Standard rooms 2 stars.

Stayed for a week in June 2023. Firstly as a woman travelling alone the car park they suggest and offer a discounted rate on is too far away. The weather was really hot and I had to lug my case and laptop bag across parts of the city which I felt uncomfortable in. The lift was out of order upon arrival and a team member carried my case up to the 4th floor which I believe they had had to do all day. The lift had been fixed by day 2 in the morning but I noticed that by the afternoon, one lift was broken again. Premier Inn breakfast has very little choice if you want to eat healthily these days imo. Premier Inn have decided to green wash their policy of not cleaning your room if you stay here more than one night, stating it’s an environmentally chosen policy - whatever! Personally I don’t carry a toilet brush, bathroom cleaner, washing up liquid, tea bags etc with me when travelling so I do need my room cleaning every morning as I would do at home. I know they will do it but you have to request as a special favour! Thyme restaurant is tasteless - everyone knows this so don’t even bother. The hotel is a good walk from any decent restaurants which I would regard as suitable for a lone traveller. The Baylis and Harding body wash was so watered down it was like spraying water and would not lather, I took my own. Rooms look old fashioned now and their choice of decor is somewhat dowdy imo but room feel could be improved by better lighting. I think the worst thing however about this hotel is the Wi Fi. This is 2023. I think we can expect it in a hotel. I’m sorry PI but it’s unacceptable. So so hair-pullingly, tediously slow and a week without being able to use my laptop properly, no Netflix etc is shocking. Especially as this is a quick fix for them. I did politely tell the reception team about this and they said they are aware as they have had many guests comment on it. However, it is what it is and there are no proposed upgrades in the pipeline. Come on PI get this right at least please? Before you respond and say you can upgrade I work for a charity who are not in the business of paying for extras and I don’t really see why I should pay when it should be included. Average upload was 0.47Mb/s and 0.51Mb/s download. I must add that none of this is a reflection of the team at the hotel who obviously work very hard and are excellent. My gripes are with the decision makers. I would also like to add that this is my second week in a premier inn, last week was Nottingham city centre (Goldsmith Street) where the WiFi was also unusable and was broken for half of my stay.

I have stayed at the Angel Street Premier Inn 1-2 times a month since August and each time the service and stay has been amazing.

The rooms are always clean and the extra for the Premium Rooms are worth it if you're on a work trip that requires work to be done online.

The restaurant staff, service and food selection is great. The fact that the staff are happy to provide takeaway boxes as well just shows how willing they are to go the extra mile.

Stayed 2 nights at the Premier Inn in January. The room was super clean, really comfy bed & a good shower! I was really impressed with the quality of the room for the price I paid.
Great location, only a short walk into the city centre for shops, bars & restaurants.
Parking in the nearby NCP was very easy & only a very short walk to the hotel, great price £11 for 24 hours.
I would definitely stay here again if I was in Sheffield.

This hotel may be ok for an overnight stop, but if you stay longer (we stayed 4 nights last week) the chinks keep coming. For example, we were told that rooms are usually cleaned only every 3 days but that we could request that ours be cleaned every day. We did this and left the sign for cleaning outside our room every day, yet our room was cleaned just once during our stay. As regards dining, we booked a ‘meal deal’ but found out during our stay that this was more restrictive on drinks and food than we had been led to believe unless you kept paying supplements - which defeated the benefit of the meal deal. And it wasn’t until the last evening of our stay that we were shown a card with all the restrictions and supplements on it. The food itself was ok but for evening meals we often didn’t get what we ordered and at breakfast we found that trays of popular items (eggs, beans etc) were often left empty for long periods of time. Something that also annoyed us was that, like many people, we only drink decaff now, but we couldn’t find any decaff tea or coffee either in reception, in the dining room or in the bedroom, so we had to buy our own. Yet when we mentioned this to the very helpful Lisa on our last night, she found unopened boxes in the dining area with decaff tea and coffee inside! We did of course raise our concerns with various staff members during our stay but generally staff were either unhelpful or aggresively defensive to the point of rudeness. (e.g. when we mentioned to reception about lack of cleaning, the receptionist asked why we wanted to have our room cleaned every day anyway). Overall, we were very disappointed, and if this is typical of the quality of service that Premier Inn now provide we certainly won’t stay with them again.

We have stayed in a few hotels in Sheffeild due to having to use the local Hospital. Honestly this by far the best. We had a Premier Plus Room and it was only an extra £5 from the normal rooms which are just as good. The extra £5 goes along way. The Premier Plus Rooms are the top levels of the hotel so you get some good views if you have a room with a view. There's carpet throughout which continues into the room and the room and hallway had a nice smell that was sprayed out. The biggest difference other than the decore are you get a Fridge with still and sparking water. A coffee machine. Some small but cute chocolates which was a nice touch and luxury quality shower gels and soaps ect. Instead of a bath and shower you have a walk in shower which we perfered and better lighting through out. We managed to check in early and all staff we encountered we're polite friendly made you feel welcome and we're always hard at work. We couldn't find any fault and would happily use this hotel again should we need to head to Sheffeild again. Have to also mention the air con was great and the bed was so comfy. We left refreshed recharged and that's just what we needed.

We wanted to try out the new improved rooms and it is most agreeable. Tranquillity is definite there for a good night sleep. The room is equipped with a mini fridge and a Nespresso coffee pod machine with a kettle for making other hot drink sachets provided. Out it goes the third bed and it is replaced with a comfortable armchair. In the bathroom, a shower is installed in place of a bath tub which is more convenient, together with amenities.

The hotel is located in a corner. Right in the hotel store front, there is a traffic light stop. Some taxis stopped there to let customers to drop off. Otherwise, ask the taxi driver to make a left turn from the traffic light and stop there, you can reach the hotel easily with luggage.

Do you mean to book the hotel as opposed to stay there? It's not an adults-only hotel - although I'd assume that as with most things you need to be 18 to book it as it's entering in to a contract.

I just googled this for you but it says to contact the hotel for rates. I think because it's longer than 6 days you need to give them a call. If it's the Angel Street in sheffield you're after the number is 03333218486. I can tell you kids stay and eat for free. Hope this helps x
