Due to my father in law being unexpectedly admitted to The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital after a cardiac arrest, we needed somewhere to stay immediately. The Isle Estates was recommended to us by 'Virtual Shropshire' and I am so glad that it was. We are seasoned travellers but this was (without argument) one of the most beautiful and welcoming properties which...

I know that it was under less than ideal circumstances when you come to stay but it was a genuine pleasure to have met your various family members and we do hope that 'the patient' is on the road to recovery. Look forward to seeing you later in the year. With best regards Edward and Ros.

Booked the Isle as a surprise for my husband's birthday. There were 11 of us in the party including 3 children. Cannot fault our stay, everyone had a fantastic time. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and nothing was too much trouble for Edward and Ros who went out of their way to make sure we had everything we...

You won't get better than this if you're looking for relaxed elegance and a warm welcome in a fascinating part of the country. You can feel like a part of the landed gentry, even if only for a short while, because you're treated as friends rather than intruders. The estate has been there for hundreds of years and you can...

What a fantastic place ! very comfortable excellent hosts and a great breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble. The lovely house is set in magnificent grounds in the rolling Shropshire landscape, great for walking or just sitting by the lake with a picnic watching the afternoon roll by. A short drive away is the lovely town of Shrewsbury with it's...

We visited The Isle back in August and thought how lovely it would be to return with our good friends and have dinner there. The whole stay was delightful again. From coffee and biscuits on arrival in front of a real fire, to the delicious breakfast the next morning. The dinner was amazing. The four of us had the beautiful...

We can't believe our luck to have found The Isle for a one night break away from family, children etc. Edward was the most charming host and immediately made us feel like old friends rather than people who had turned up at a B&B. Lounging by the open fire in the drawing room with tea and fascinating chat with Edward...

I would highly recommend the Isle and could happily have stayed for a lot longer. Ros and Edward gave us a warm welcome, happily accommodating our young baby. We stayed in the pink room which was very comfortable with lovely views. Breakfast was delicious, particularly the porridge. If you are looking for a relaxed and welcoming bed and breakfast with...

We only stayed two nights but would be very happy to have stayed longer. The owners were charming, very sociable and informative and felt like the friends that one would choose.
