Abel's Harp is a small vintage style hotel and licensed wedding venue set in five acres of beautiful Shropshire countryside. Situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with fantastic views. All rooms are en-suite and individually themed. There is an on site restaurant, bar and gallery. It is a relaxed and quirky hotel and is an excellent place to stay if you want to visit Welsh Pool, Shrewsbury, Ludlow, Church Stretton, Powys Castle or to walk The Stiperstones or Long Mynd. We also specialise in bespoke weddings particularly in vintage, festival and country style weddings where parties can benefit from the land, views and creativity of the hotels design. We have two licensed ceremony areas one inside and one outside in our courtyard garden. Our food is a mix of dishes with a quirky twist, we like to think we have something on our menu for everyone. Our afternoon tea is also a real treat with its handmade Alice themed cakes and biscuits.

We originally booked to come here at the beginning of the pandemic. We had to move our booking around multiple times and the staff were really helpful in assisting us with this! We had a 7 course Christmas dinner which we thoroughly enjoyed. The service at dinner was great and jules was so lovely and accommodating the entire time, she really went the extra mile to make us feel extra welcome, nothing was too much trouble. We did the alpaca experience and cream tea. We would recommend both! The decor of the place is really nice and the views are absolutely beautiful. The shower/toilets are really clean and the hut we stayed it had what we needed. Booking through groupon was great value for money - we have already decided we want to return in the summer so we can try breakfast and make use of the hot tub. Thank you jules for a lovely weekend we will be recommending abels harp to family and friends x

We went out for a meal at this quirly and lovely inn. The service was attentive without being overpowering and the meal was delicious. Everything was well presented and cooked to perfvection. The sirloin was absolutely wonderful; it is a long time since I had enjoyed a meal so much. We had not been here before, but will definately be going again.

Stayed for 2 nights glamping & hotel. Such a lovely quirky place, would definitely recommend and can't wait to come back, pleasant staff especially jules as she was so helpfull. The only downfall was no lights near the hot tub as it gets dark in winter.

Stayed at abels harp on a Wowcher deal and was really worth the money. Jules was very helpful throughout and cannot complain about any of the service we had was all really good. The heater in our hut worked amazing. The hot tub was always clean and so were the toilets. Could do with more lighting at night up in the glamping area as found it was difficult to go down the hill in the dark when going to the toilet. We had a really lovely stay and would recommend to anyone, will defiantly be back in the summer. Thank you !

we stayed in one if the huts , it was a a birthday present bought on groupon and kept getting cancelled due to the pandemic, we had a lovely few days away the hotel is quite quirky inside. The toilets and shower were lovely and clean and based indoors by the hotel reception. The lady that runs it julz was amazing she and her staff were amazing nothing was too much trouble for them , julz was always on hand when ever you needed anything. the hut was very comfortable for our stay, we love the alpacas, feeding them was a lovely experience. Breakfast was also lovely, good fresh produce. will hopefully be returning in the summer.
