We only had a meal, it was really good, just the right quantity, tasted great and the advice on the wine was appreciated. Best chips in Shrewsbury! The steaks were cooked just right and the chicken melted in the mouth I'm told.

The staff were welcoming and Damien the manager went overboard to greet us and book us in. There was a party of 10 of us eating and we all had a fantastic meal. Everything was cooked to perfection and my steak was the best I have tasted, cooked perfect. The new menu and new chef, certainly works well at this...

I would like to begin by saying that overall, my fiancée and I had a very nice stay at Cromwell'. Thank you to the staff for looking after us so nicely. We were looking for somewhere for B&B for one night (Friday) as we were in Shrewsbury for an event the following day. Cromwell's Inn is a quirky, ancient building...

We are sorry you had an average experience due to the noise in your room. There is little we can do as the building is ancient and in the middle of the town but the bar was closed off at midnight for the cinvieience of our room guests. Wechave been awarded 5 stars by the Food Standards Agency so the...

Great room, great food, great drink ! The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Beautiful bear garden which we sat in all night before heading up to the room, which had all the amenities. Me and the Mrs love a trip to Shrewsbury and we'll be staying here again. Would recommend. Thanks.

Stayed two nights and slept in a four-poster bed. Great bed and mattress and we slept really well. Historic hotel, decorated in a way that is tasteful and interesting. Great service and the staff looked after us well. The management should be proud of them! Breakfast superb. Good servings and everything well cooked. Look forward to another visit in the...

Popped in for a glass red of wine and ended up having starters. Lovely platter of chunky chips, olives and garlic bread. The service was very quick and attentive. Great atmosphere for 6 pm on a Saturday.

I have to say that the people of Shrewsbury were so friendly - and not just at the hotel. Very welcoming all round. We were given a splendid room - despite being on the road - and to be harsh was a tad noisy - so ear plugs would be good idea - but apart from that - the bar...

We are sorry you had such a poor experience but the good news is that we now have the best kitchen team we have ever had. The food and service are in a different league. And we have been awarded 5 stars by the Food Standards Agency. You can check out places before you eat at the Food Standards Agency...

Had a romantic night away here, room was lovely with a comfortable mattress and great four poster bed. The staff were so helpful and attentive - from the staff on duty when we checked in to the lovely lady sorting the breakfasts out. The hotel has a great terrace / beer garden and is situated in the centre of Shrewsbury...
