Stopped here on New Year's Eve. If I'm honest I wasn't expecting too much from a Wetherspoons hotel but I was so wrong. Ok it's not the Ritz but the room and facilities were more than adequate and was spotlessly clean. As an added bonus our room was at the very back of the hotel and was really quiet on...

Excellent location right in the town centre with shops, restaurants all on the door step. Was able to park the car in the car park though this was full most of the time The food was very good and great prices. Sirloin Steak one night and Singapore Noodles the second night. Stopped here for a Friday and Saturday night in December. This is our 3rd visit to this hotel. I must say the 1st time we stayed our room was spacious with the biggest bed and a view over the river, 2nd and 3rd not so big and looking over some skips out the back (not so good) however, for the...

Front of hotel was shrouded in scaffolding and mesh when we arrived - outside was being painted. An older building (first Wetherspoons hotel in UK), some sloping floors on the upper floors. Staff were friendly. To access our room on the top floor involved a lift and stairs, then a walk along a long corridor. The telephone was not connected....
