We have just spent another few days in this hotel. We stayed in the Abbey suite and were really impressed with the size of the room. Although the decor was a little tired, and needed a good paint, the service and facilities provided were second to none. Our breakfast was enough to keep us content for the days walking the...

Stayed for 2 nights and it was very good. We were in the lodge which was away from the main hotel but it was fine and I would guess a bit quieter. The rooms were clean although they were very hot even with the window wide open. The breakfast was good and the staff were excellent.

my cousin and I booked to come for afternoon tea (booked a few days before hand). We arrived and said we had booked for afternoon tea for 2pm, we went to the bar and were basically told to go to reception. We walked to reception which was empty and we were stood there for a good 5minutes before being seen...

Stayed for one night and couldn't fault the hotel. The reception staff made us feel really welcome, the room in the main building was very nice, a lovely comfy bed, tea and coffee making facilities. Tv. The shower room was very spacious and modern. Breakfast was lovely with a great choice of breakfast options. Highly recommended .

Had a funeral reception, we had buffet food which was good more important was the way the staff looked after everyone. Very friendly and professional. 7 of us stayed for evening meal, all starters , mains and desserts were of very high standard and again the staff were great. The rooms were light and comfortable in the lodge which are...

Shrewsbury is a lovely place to visit and this hotel is less than a mile from the centre. Comfortable rooms, friendly staff. Lodge-style rooms at rear of hotel (popular for weddings). Plenty of parking space.

We stayed at the Lord Hill for two nights over the weekend. On arrival we were told that we were staying at the lodge which was a building at the back of the hotel. At first I was worried that the standard of decor and finish didn't match that of the reception area, and really it didn't with the stair...

A huge carpark, but was quite full when I arrived due to some country western function going on. But managed to park near the hotel lodge, which I guessed I'd be staying so left my bags in the van, walked up to the hotel and checked in the lady receptionist was nice told me mostly what I needed to know...
