Thank you for a great stay in a really central location near the Abbey. Norman is super friendly and helpful. He went above and beyond and let us leave our luggage for the day after check out. Really quiet nights sleep..Great continental breakfast. Thank you Norman! Best of luck for the future.

We booked into the rising sun inn as the location is great! Parking is a gamble as you get a free pass but have to drive round the block trying to find a space anywhere in the 01 Zone! Also you have to leave a £20 cash deposit! Which is not always possible as people don’t carry cash! And are expected to walk the cash machine! We stayed in the Cleo room, which was a mismatch of furniture! The bed was very very soft and we didn’t sleep very well! The bedside cabinets and the chest of drawers were very cheap looking(ikea) the loo seat was loose and doesn’t stay up! The splash-back tiles doesn’t cover the whole wall and was damp the taps are to big you can just about turn on the hot water! The door underneath was water damaged and the MDF was exposed! The mini fridge is a great idea but is noisy! The blinds don’t fit together so the light shines through early doors, The WiFi is not very good and the free view had lack of channels! You get a continental breakfast included with booking.com but get a cooked breakfast if you book direct, but surely should be the same whoever you book with! The resturant is very dark and could do with some additional lighting! The menu is very limited especially for vegetarians! And there is no menu on the website for breakfast! Norman was very helpful and polite but on the day we checked out no one bothered to ask about our stay!

I’m a little late leaving this review as stayed in December. Had such a wonderful stay here. The rooms were absolutely lovely, so cosy and snug to come back to in the cold weather and decorated so nicely. The location is about as good as it gets and the value for money is excellent. The owners and staff were friendly and welcoming and the food was excellent, including the cooked breakfast. We had a meal in the restaurant one of the nights and it was delicious. A full English was included in the price (along with many other choices) if you booked through their website as we did and it was absolutely lovely. I won’t even bother to look to book elsewhere if I return to Bath, I will just head straight to their website because I’m pretty sure nothing will beat it in terms of value, location, food and nice rooms.
