Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely B&B close to the City centre. Easily within walking distance if you don't mind a bit of an uphill walk back. Parking is slightly awkward as it's on a steep driveway but there are reserved spaces opposite which are easier to negotiate. Staff are absolutely wonderful, very polite and accommodating. Breakfast is fantastic. Looking forward to our next stay there when I have to drop daughter #2 back at Uni in September!

The room was pokey but the chocolate mints were plentiful. The parking area was a nightmare. Not for faint hearted. But the pierce resistance was the inability to shower due to the lack of a battery. A place I will avoid in the future.

Hello Michael, I will repeat the points here that I have already made in response to your email: We use very high-tech and expensive Myra digital showers so guests can get the perfect temperature and water pressure. The digital remotes on the wall are battery operated. These of course need to be replaced from time to time and had you asked I would have replaced them in around 20 seconds...all rooms have a phone, so I am unsure why you didn't tell us until checkout. I am afraid little issues do tend to pop up like this, in the same way batteries may run out on the TV remote, a lightbulb may blow or a kettle, etc, but we are always happy to sort any issues immediately when asked...however, you do actually have to let us know if you have a problem... Regarding parking, we do have a steep driveway, but also have spaces over the road should anyone have difficulty parking. Our guests are generally just very happy to have a free parking space as most places in Bath don't and those that do charge an additional £20 per day or more. Regarding the rate you paid, it was a discounted rate and was actually even lower than our cheapest standard rate. You were also given a free upgrade from the Standard Double room you had booked, to a larger Standard King room. Bath, like most Cities, can be quite expensive, with a small double room averaging around £180 per night, without parking nor breakfast, so we feel confident that our lower rate is very reasonable, especially with the included free parking and breakfast. Wishing you all the Best Justin Manager Dorian HQ

Excellent one night stay at Dorian House. Room lovely (well furnished and clean) and smashing breakfast (plenty of choice, well cooked and served in a Garden Room). Staff all helpful. We took in the sites of the City and went to the Theatre - all by walking from the hotel.

Excellent place, lovely gardens, very friendly staff. Manager Justin was a great help to us when our rental car got a flat on our way into town. It's a scenic downhill stroll from Dorian House into the center of Bath (and if you're in decent shape, an easy walk back as well). Hope to return someday!

A very relaxing and comfortable stay, with just a short walk to the town centre. Excellent staff and very clean accommodation with comfortable beds, made our stay all the more enjoyable. We really looked forward to our breakfast in a bright and roomy orangery to start the day. Good parking facilities on site. See you again.

Lovely accommodation in a quiet area close to the town centre. A beautifully renovated and exquisitely decorated Victorian house. We were offered an amazing a la cart breakfast that was included in our stay which made our time there really memorable.

Beautiful B&B, great location and onsite parking was a bonus. The staff were very attentive. The bath salts/scrubs and umbrellas were a lovely touch. Breakfast was delightful with a great range to accommodate all needs. Would definitely recommend staying here. We were upgraded to a four poster room which was a lovely surprise upon arrival. Close to Bath city centre (10 min downhill walk). All in all a lovely lovely stay.

Such a comfortable stay, with lovely hosts and a great breakfast. Location is on a hill, with great views. We walked into Bath from the b&b which took about 15 mins, not bad at all! The room had all that we needed; coffee, tea, biscuits etc… towels, wash kit etc, and helpful magazines highlighting things to do.

Dorian House is a lovely B&B with friendly staff, nice breakfast and the added bonus of electric car chargers on site. There were nice touches like a chocolate on the pillow, and a coffee machine in the room. It's an easy walk from the centre of Bath. We would stay again.
