We stayed at the YMCA after looking for inexpensive accommodation for 1 night in Bath following a gig. Our room was a twin room with shared bathroom. The room was clean and basic. The beds were comfortable and the shared facilities were kept very clean. The room was hot which meant that we had to keep the window open. There was a lot of noise from the courtyard type space outside but I assume this was because it was Saturday night and lots of people coming out of pubs and clubs. The power to some of the sockets in the room did not work. Continental breakfast is included in the room rate and is very good. Lots of juice, tea, coffee, cereal and toast. We parked in a long stay carpark about 10 minute walk away as I think there is very limited parking in the area. I would stay here again if looking for somewhere cheap to stay and feel that the room was fairly priced.

Very convenient hostel in the centre of Bath and at an unbeatable price. Welcomed by very happy man on reception. Stayed in a dorm, unfortunately the room smelt awful, the curtains around the bed had dirt and things stuck to it, the charging point was dirty with balls of dust coming off it and the floor was bitty too. The showers and bathrooms were a bit minging, especially the floors and in corners, it all needs a serious deep clean and unfortunately I wouldn't return as felt grossed out and it spoilt my trip. Perhaps the cleaners need some guidance. The breakfast was pretty good and it would be an awesome place if it just had a spruce up!

I stayed one night and my experience was not good. I slept in the lower bunk almost touching the floor and there was a space on the left between the mattress and the wall that was full of dirt, dust and a box of pills. Under my bed there was an empty water bottle too. The room floor was very disgusting. I had to make my bed and the pillow was spotted and yellow. The next morning I saw how the cleaners dried the floor of the bathroom, that was wet and dark, with the bed sheets that they told us to take off once we leave the room, and without gloves. The cleaning of the hostel is poor in general. The breakfast was not bad.
