We ended up staying at The Boathouse by accident. Generally our two night stay was very good, lovely location, nice clean room, comfy bed, fantastic view. The food was good & the breakfast consisted of quality products. The manager was brilliant, very helpful, polite & pleasant. I cannot praise him enough. However, it is a shame some of the other... Visited this pub for a family meal on a Saturday. Poor lad on bar duty seemed to be the only person actually doing any work. The bearded manager and waitresses seemed to all be suffering the effects of smoking too much pot. They couldn't have moved any slower and were totally disinterested in customer complaints and offered no apology. I... More

We went to the boathouse with friends and all had excellent meals, I would highly recommend the steak burger but we were spoilt for choice as all the meals looked delicious, the staff were very friendly and helpful which made the perfect evening. Sue A

Just returned from a lovely trip to Bath and staying at the Boathouse was a blessing. We had a lovely room looking on to the River Avon comfy and cosy. The park and ride is an excellent perk 2 min walk bus into centre every 10 mins or so. 5.50 for a return journey for two. No endless driving in... More

We have visited the boathouse many times and had a lovely meal but this was awful. The sharing platter was advertised as a trio of meats, but they forgot the beef. We advised them and they returned the platter with beef which had clearly been taken off another plate covered in gravy! The dinner plate had to be taken away... More

I stayed one night whilst visiting my son at Bath spa uni. Staff where not particularly friendly on my arrival, No one appeared to want to book me in. The room was clean and the bed was comfy, but nothing to write home about. I felt it was over priced for a room over a pub! The shower was very... More

I came here with my children and Dad for lunch during half term and it was really good . It was quite busy and despite having to wait half an hour it was well worth it. The food was delicious and fresly made the staff couldn't have been more attentive and really looked after us .

This restaurant was chosen by a family member for a birthday meal and was a good all round choice. We were seated in the conservatory which is a big light airy room with a high ceiling and a lovely log burner. This certainly added to the atmosphere making it more of a birthday meal in a restaurant rather than being... More

First the pros! The location just outside the city centre and right next to the park n ride was great. Big car park. Lovely setting on the river and you can walk into the centre in a bout an hour. Spacious room and bathroom with an enormous, comfortable bed and big bath sheets, which made a very nice change! Breakfast... More

4:00 Saturday afternoon, we arrive and nobody is serving on the bar. The bartender appears no enthusiasm serves drinks and advised we get a table then order food. When going back to the bar to order food, 3 members of staff are cleaning glasses and in no hurry to serve. Food arrives very quickly, very helpful waitress asked if we... More
