Katherine is a fantastic warm and friendly host of this homely and traditional B and B. Sitting part way up the hill just 5 minutes walk from the centre of Bath, I would definitely recommend the Abbey Rise B and B! Both room and bathroom were very well proportioned, freshly decorated and perfectly clean. Breakfast was a relaxed and homely...

The owner of the B & B was very friendly and attentive. She was helpful and gave lots of advice on places to visit. Our room was great, with comfortable beds and nice decor. The B & B felt personal yet welcoming. Our room had lots of special touches and was a place to relax in after a day out...

I stayed here with my family for a short vacation. Katherine impressed us from start to finish with her ability to make us feel at home and superb knowledge of the town. Wonderful extras such as free parking and fresh coffee and brownies each morning all added to the experience. The room was fantastic and beautifully furnished, with the bed...

Late afternoon in a very busy Bath City, Katherine went out of her way to find us a B&B. She was full and found us a great place in central Bath. That is real service especially when she had nothing t gain. Many thanks John and Margie

I'm a little late getting this review written (december / 2012)but I still think of my time at Abbey Rise and hope I will stay there again soon. I felt so welcome. My room was beautiful. My bed was so very comfortable. My hostess was delightful. Breakfast was delicious and I enjoyed the large homestyle table so guests could chat...

Originally chose Abbey Rise for three nights because it offered parking and because Katherine was able to cater for a gluten free diet. What a treat. The rooms were lovely with a very comfortable bed. Katherine was incredibly friendly and made such an effort to accommodate the gluten free diet, including brownies as a treat in the bedroom. Abbey Rise...

This is our third trip to Abbey Rise and hopefully not our last, as it is one of our favourite weekend stays. We are delighted to report that Katherine's high standards continue and we enjoyed another faultless trip. Breakfast is always a pleasure, as you get to meet fellow guests and the conversation is nearly as good as the breakfast!...

Ideal stay for a short break in Bath. The city centre and the Roman baths are about a 10 min walk away. The only thing I need to mention and not a criticism is the steady incline if you are walking back to the hotel and an number of steep steps leading to the front door quite tricky if you...

Abbey Rise is a beautiful B&B just 5 minutes walk from the centre of Bath. It is the best B&B I have stayed in and over the last 5 years I have returned 4 times! Abbey Rise provided us with everything we needed for an overnight stay during our daughter's graduation service. Pretty rooms with very good quality furniture, beds, bed linen and towels. Excellent variety of drinks provided in rooms with homemade brownies to die for! Breakfast was perfect with a variety of fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereals, juices, full english, scrambled eggs and smoked...
