I was treated to three nights in the Apple Tree by my husband for our anniversary. We were in the Bramley Room which was a Super-Kingsize double room at the top of the house at the front with views over the roof tops. It was really convenient for the town as it was a five to seven minute flat walk to the centre. The Owner Ling was very welcoming and friendly and full of local knowledge for our stay. She also let us check in at lunchtime and would have stored our luggage if our room wasn't ready but it was luckily. Free parking is available with the permit provided to put in your car which was a bonus in Bath. There are Covid safe practices in place including leaving your shoes in the hall and wearing white slippers in the B&B, the usual hand sanitiser etc. Ling had put up a Happy Anniversary banner in our room which was a thoughtful and appreciated touch. Our room was tastefully decorated with white bed linen and very clean. The front of the B&B is very pretty with Acers and lots of flowers.
Breakfast had a good selction of juice, yoghurt, cereal, fruit etc. The star was the cooked choice which included full english using high quality products, eggs benedict, smoked salmon and scrambled eggs and Ling's french toast with a choice of fillings. It was very enjoyable.
We did all the usual Bath tourist things including the Abbey, Royal Crescent, Botanical Gardens, a boat trip up to Bathampton Mill and a walk along the Kennet and Avon Canal which is right near the B&B. You can also get to the Bath Skyline but ask Ling where to go to start it!
We enjoyed meals in the evening at The Oven Pizzeria, Miller and Carter Steakhouse and afternoon tea at the Bath Bun in Abbey Green.
We would highly recommend the Apple Tree to stay whilst enjoying Bath and hope to be back at a different time of the year. Thank you Ling for a very enjoyable stay, Judith and Mark

We’ve just had an amazing two night stay at Apple Tree bed and breakfast. Parking was so easy with our permit taken care of by Ling on arrival. The centre of bath was a handy five minute walk away and we were recommended many great places to eat, including independent local businesses which we thought was a really nice touch! The bed was comfortable, our en suite had a great shower and the whole place was spotless. Breakfast was delicious and Ling couldn’t have been any more attentive with fruit, cooked breakfast, juices and dairy alternatives on offer. We could go on! Ling has a beautiful boutique bed and breakfast that we can not recommend enough.

Booked in for 2 nights for my wife’s birthday. Our hostess Ling was brilliant looking after us like staying with friends not a hotel. I had requested some champagne as a treat for my wife which she arranged and also put banners up in our room wishing her a happy birthday. The room was lovely and comfy and the breakfast was cooked fresh and the ingredients were high quality. The location was just a 10 minute stroll right into the centre of Bath and the hotel provided a parking permit for our car too. Highly recommend this as it is lovely and affordable.

The Apple Tree B&B is perfectly located a few minutes walk from the city centre. The accommodation was meticulously clean with every precaution taken to comply with current Covid-related requirements. Ling was an engaging host - sociable, enthusiastic and full of advice about places to visit in the city. The B&B is beautifully decorated and Ling’s fantastic breakfasts will remain long in the memory.

My husband and I had a fantastic stay at Lings property. She was very welcoming, attentive and made us feel really looked after. The rooms are lovely, beds comfortable and they have everything you could want or need without it feeling overcrowded. Breakfast was delicious, with plenty of choice including French toast, cereals, eggs benedict etc. The location is great as well, about a 5 minute walk into the town and a 10 minute walk to the Roman Baths. We especially liked being welcomed by her very friendly cat, and a cute "Happy Anniversary" banner she put up in our room for us to find on our second night. We will be staying there again next time we are in Bath for sure!

Ling welcomes you with open arms to her beautiful house close to the city centre of Bath. Just a 10 minute walk to the train station and a 10 minute walk to the Abbey in the heart of Bath it was a perfect location for our time here.
Ling provides you with slippers when you arrive.
All the rooms are named after apples and we were on the top floor at the front of the house in Bramley room. The room was spotlessly clean and the HUGE bed was nice and firm. The ensuite toilet, sink and a large shower was very clean. There is an ironing board and iron in the wardrobe.
Breakfast was between 8 & 9 o'clock which might not suit everyone's timescale but when in Bath you want to make the most of your time there. The choice of breakfast was very good indeed and everyday filled us up until dinner time in the evening.
Check out is 10.30 but Ling kindly looked after our suitcases on our last day whilst we walked around the city and we picked them up before we caught the train home.

My wife and I booked here for a child free getaway and it didn't disappoint.
The location is perfect for a short 5 min walk into the centre of bath or if you go the other direction, your straight onto the canal path.

Ling was a great host, helping us with our luggage and being incredibly informative for our stay.
We stayed in the Bramley Room and it was really comfortable for our 2 night stay.
The breakfast choices were really good and we had the fry up one morning and then the eggs Benedict/royale the next. Both were scoffed up!!

Just a perfect stay for our romantic break! Thankyou and we will be back!

We had 3 lovely nights in June at Apple Tree, which is well located on a neighborhood street a level walk from centre of Bath. Ling was a personable and charming host who hosted a lavish breakfast with many choices. We very much enjoyed chatting with the other travelers in the breakfast room every morning. Our room was very clean and bright, had many thoughtful but significant details such as a ring tree, huge thick towels and a fan because it was unseasonably warm. Ling had helpful suggestions and organized a cab for us to the rental car pick up. Having depended on trip advisor reviews to help find accommodation for our trip I have no hesitation in recommending Apple Tree! Also if you want a fun evening experience, do not miss the comedy walk Bizarre Bath!

Outstanding customer service!

I had booked a 3 night stay at the Apple tree on booking.com. Got my confirmation email and thought nothing more of it. On the day we were due to arrive I rang and advised what time our ETA would be (as requested on the email). Ling rang me back and advised that she did not have our reservation and did not have space for 3 nights as per our original reservation. Cue some panicking and upset from myself, ling offered to ring around the local b&bs to see if they had availability. She rang back and found somewhere just as central as the apple tree, with the same benefits (ensuite, free parking, breakdown) and also paid the difference to what our original reservation was. I think everyone would agree what outstanding customer service this is. So lesson for anyone, make sure you get a confirmation email from the b&b direct! Not just the booking.com one!

Really hope I get to return to bath to stay at the Apple tree at some point in the future

Firstly Thank you for making my trip so special ! Having booked this at last minute for my 1st solo adventure I was not disappointed.
I travelled by train and was really simple to find the B&B

Martin was very good as I arrived out of the time they would prefer you to arrive. There are cats in the property and from the off.

Loved being offered slippers to walk around the guest house.

I was put in the top bedroom was ‘russet’ and it was perfect. As a solo traveler the breakfast room was small, and we all spoke and Ling brought everyone into the conversation. What I loved is Ling cooked everything and also, she remembered drinks that people wanted. A small touch but goes a long way. It was also wonderful to hear where Ling had got her art from and for her personal memories. Really was a lovely homely place to stay and I will be 100% recommending.

Would recommend this place to anyone ! It’s a short walk to the centre and it’s not fair from the station which you can go by the canal or on the road.

Superb stay!
