A group of us booked this B&B as our base for the weekend, as we had a wedding in Dunster. The owners were very friendly, as were the pub locals. The rooms were a great size and many had en-suites. I had requested a quiet room, as I am pregnant and this was given to us (room 12). A friend,...

We visited the pub a couple of evenings whilst staying in Dunster. Friendly & cosy pub, good homecooked pub food - our party especially enjoyed the chicken curry, steak & ale pie & ham egg & chips! Great pool table & Nelson the parrot and his bad language was very entertaining!

This is a very busy village, we managed to find a parking place and this was the nearest pub. Fairly busy with just one girl looking after bar and food but service was very quick. Pub full of character, clean including the loos and you may get insulted by the parrot on the way to gents. Food was good and...

Lovely old pub. Plenty of character serving excellent beers and delicious steaks/meals. Rooms basic but very clean. Parrot is handsome but his vocabulary is not for the faint hearted! Best pool table I've played on.

Party of 12 adults and one child. We spent the Saturday evening having a meal and a few drinks here. What a great night! Very friendly pub and as an added bonus there was live music with a great singer. Really good atmosphere. Thoroughly recommend this pub if you are staying in Dunster.

Just dropped in for a beer while visiting Dunster. A really friendly local. Ale was good, locals were friendly and the barman was happy to advise me how to get the best out of my logburner in our holiday let. Treats for our dog aswell. I also got insulted by Nelson the pub parrot. Doesn't get much better than this....

Staying in Dunster for the week and decided to head to the Foresters for an ale and some food in the evening. Absolutely spot on if you fancy some honest pub grub and some local ales. Landlord and staff were fantastic, very friendly place complete with a chatty parrot. Got some insight on the area and various ales to try...

Came here for lunch during a visit to Dunster, a lovely pub full of character and pleasant staff. Nice choice of food on offer, good prices too. And a mischievous parrot too :-) Could do with a menu on the outside, might entice a few more folks in, as it is a nice environment inside.
