Detailed Reviews
We stayed in a shepherds cabin for the first time at this park. We were nervous about booking with the virus, however the nerves were soon settled.
On arrival we waited in the car awaiting our check in and a lovely gentleman showed us where we needed to go on his bike! The cabin was extremely clean and the whole area around was well looked after! The facilities block was cleaned very often by friendly cleaners! There were antibacterial gels on the wall and everywhere was completely sanitized! We had a dog with us and there are plenty of walks and safe areas to exercise the dog and explore the local area.
We made use of the shop on site and also the takeaway services, definetly recommend the pizza and burger one!!!
We will definitely be back and also will be recommending to family! Thank you for an excellent stay :)

If you are thinking of booking a stay here....DO It! You won't be disappointed. It is the best site we have ever been to. Lovely large pitches which are enclosed on three sides with hedges/shrubbery, immaculately maintained, showers/toilets wouldn't look out of place in a 5 star hotel, enclosed 300m dog exercise area, warm dog shower, lovely friendly staff, great dog walks straight from site, very good daily food vans or takeaway service, amazing home made cake and fresh bread in the shop. If I had to find one fault it would be the premium WiFi that you pay extra for wasn't strong enough to watch a movie, but there's good 4g coverage and TV signal is fine.

Thank you for such a lovely 5 star review! We are so glad that you enjoyed the facilities and loved Jo's homemade cake! We are sorry that you had issues with the wifi :( Unfortunately there was a fault with system which, luckily, the engineers were able to fix the next day! If you contact Camping Connect you will be able to get a refund from them. We are very glad to hear that the wifi issue did not spoil your stay with us and we hope to see you again soon :) Kind regards, The Old Oaks Team

My husband and I booked this as we try to take our Labrador on a staycation every year. We like the idea of camping but we hate arriving and having to mess around with a tent. Old Oaks was perfect for what we were after. We booked into one the their 6 Glamping pods and we were so impressed with the space we got. The king size bed was an amazing touch and our Labrador was very comfortable. It was a plus that this is an adult only caravan site as were wanted some peace and quiet.
We loved the kitchen area where you have a small fridge (fits a bottle of wine, small milk, cheese, meats, etc but not a whole load of shopping so pack smartly) and a kettle, toaster and prep area. There is plenty of storage under the bed and in the built in cupboard where you also get a washing up bowl, washing up liquid, clothes airer, broom, dustpan and brush and wash cloth. Outside the pods you have a fairly large decking area with patio furniture and a gas bbq. There is also a picnic table on a little green just in front of the pod along with a built in fire pit.. Plenty of plug sockets in the pod too!
The drinking water tap was a few steps away from our pod and the Orchard toilet block was about a 30 second walk opposite us. This is where we were REALLY impressed. As some may know, often on camp sites the toilets are quite filthy but not at Old Oaks. There are 3 private rooms that had a toilet and a shower in. This was great if you wanted a bit of privacy and the best part was, because the camp site isn't overcrowded they were nearly always available to use. Lovely water pressure and hot too!
Alternatively there is a male and female area either side that has 2 showers, 2 toilets and a vanity area. You do have to wear mask in here but that's fine if you just want to pop in for a quick wee!
There are loads of walks you can take directly from campsite which we thoroughly enjoyed and you can print of the pdf directions before you visit if you are worried you'll get a bit lost! There is also a dog exercise area at the main entrance where you can let your dog off the lead for a good run.
There are food trucks that arrive on some of the days for dinner and you can also order food like fish and chips or Indian on set days.
We will definitely look to stay here again and we might even look at one of the cedar lodges next time!

We have just returned from axweeks stay at Okd Oaks. I have reviewed this site before but felt had to review it again as thhs visit was vastly different due to Covid 19. The shop still offers all of the wonderful breads, home made cakes,, groceries, wines etc but they ask you to use order forms downloaded from your booking confirmation. Facilities are open, they are deep cleaned thoroughly several times a day. However the staff do ask that if you can use your own facilities then you do so. As usual the site looks wonderful and colourful with the beautiful flower beds in full bloom. Everyone did their social distancing so we felt completely safe. Like before I would recommend Old Oaks if your looking for a UK break in your caravan, under canvas or in your camper van.

Amazing!
We’ve just come back from a 2 night stay, we wanted to stay longer but were told we couldn’t unless we moved pitches which we didn’t want to do.
Regardless, we had an amazing stay.
We were on pitch 1 on Top Oaks, right next to the facilities block (toilets, showers, washing up, laundry) but not so close that it wasn’t private. We had flowers and bushes creating a cove of privacy for us, either side of our pitch. Site is beautifully kept, all the greenery and flowers.
The facilities, wow, never seen camping facilities so modern and clean, was really impressed and also that there are private bathrooms with toilet/shower and also single private shower cubicles in the toilet area also, along with mirrors and plugs.
Also used the washing up area for cutlery and it was spotlessly clean.
We arrived the Friday so we had a hog roast bap as part of their themed food nights, was lovely but abit overpriced at £6 per bap for what’s in it (wasn’t filled enough). Didn’t end up using the on-site shop so can’t really comment on that but they do have an app you can order on and go pick it up which I thought was good, I was going to use this but didn’t realise the shop shut at 18:30!
The site is safe and secure also, there is a light system (red/green) to allow you into the site and off the site, so anyone can’t just come in. Also at check in the guy give us lots of info and a welcome pack with brochures in then showed us to our pitch directly.
We also hired the fire pit for our stay which was great, well worth it.
There is also a path that leads right onto the public footpath that leads up Glastonbury Tor, lovely walk, I think it took us about 35-40 mins to get from the campsite to the very top of the Tor (we watched the sunset there for 2 nights and it was beautiful and lovely people with great vibes about!)
We will definitely stay here again at some point!
If only all campsites where like this!

This touring park which sits near Glastonbury Tor is simply the best we have ever visited.
Considering the difficulties Touring Parks have gone through in recent months, it is simply a credit to the staff and management of this site to have maintained such incredibly high standards of cleanliness and fresh looking spotlessly clean facilities.
The site itself is lovely, with flowers blooming everywhere, and if you fancy the challenge of the walk to the Tor, it leads right into the heart of the park.
Pitches are huge, so no problems with Covid there! You have loads of space for your accommodation, car and for a sitting area.
Washroom bathrooms are also huge, with nice hot water fed to rain head showers.
We talked to at least 2 other couples who said the washroom facilities were akin to going into a high quality hotel bathroom!
Anyway, we would highly recommend this adult only campsite to anyone and will definitely be returning next time we are down this way.
Only downside to this Touring Park, is that with such high standards, no other Touring Park no matter how nice is comparable now, we feel a bit spoilt!
Well done all and thank you for a lovely stay!

We have just returned from our second stay this year at Old Oaks and can honestly say that it could not be any more perfect. Everything on this site is immaculate and although we have visited many other sites they cannot compare with Old Oaks. The site has done everything it can to make things safe whilst still maintaining a relaxing and worry free environment. Everything they do is designed to make sure everyone is catered for including our four legged friend. They even have a lovely doggy shower which is kept beautifully clean and for a few days during our recent visit they even had a doggy paddling pool in the dog walk. Our dogs love the dog walk and for us its lovely to have a safe space where dogs can play and where owners can swop stories of their dogs or their experiences of staying at Old Oaks. I was particularly happy to talk to guests who had never visited before and all without exception said that they would come back to Old Oaks again. The staff go out of their way to make sure that everyone is looked after. The shop is very well stocked and the wood fired pizza and burgers are amazing. I cannot rate this site highly enough

From arrival you could clearly see this was an amazing site, the grounds are so clean and landscaped. We were showed to out super large hardstanding pitch. The site facilities are the best I have ever seen and cater for everything. We used the communal room with a table and chairs and sofas to eat or chill at with your own food etc. There was pay as you go bean to cup coffee machine and lots of DVDs books and games along with darts and pool table. On site offers catered evenings and we had the gourmet burger £8.50....it was simply stunning and the home made cheesecake£ 4.50. The stock is well stocked with local produce, camping supplies and beer/wine. There is a lovely hilly walk from the site to Glasobury about 2miles. We booked a lovely local taxi recommended by the site it cost £7 into town and they also take dogs. We are in town at George & Pilgrims which was very nice and a nice atmosphere. I can honestly say we will definately be back to this site. The superious pitches are south facing ith smoless fire pits and seating. The pitches are hugh. The toilet facility were outstanding !!! My fave was the cassette toilet cleaning machine, simply fantastic. The staff are very helpful and friendly.

We stayed here last weekend and the reviews are all correct, it is definitely a 5* site. Amazing facilities onsite. We stayed in a standard pitch and it was fabulous. Once on site we prefer to walk everywhere if possible and we managed to walk into Glastonbury in 45 minutes, you go up to the base of The Tor and you can then either walk up to The Tor or walk around it and drop down into Glastonbury. Lovely shops and eateries in Glastonbury too. We will definitely be coming again and will bring our dog next time as the site has a dedicated safe dog walking area and doggy showers. Perfect!

We started caravanning this year due to Covid 19 restrictions on travel. We enjoy high quality accommodation and were not disappointed. The whole of the park is immaculately kept, the pitches are very spacious and private with plenty of planting between pitches.
We took advantage of the take-away deliveries and the pizza van - why cook when you're on holiday?
The amenity facilities are very good and very clean - they were Covid safe with spray and hand sanitiser.
We will definitely recommend Old Oaks and will definitely return. Thank you Old Oaks.

I’m not sure you can walk across the field
No toilets in the pods. Shower rooms about 50 metres away. The shepherd huts and lodges have own shower and toilets
There are 3 different taxi firms that support the site. All very friendly and professional. With regards food there are several different eating places in Glastonbury which is a mile and half walk from the site. However the site has a breakfast club every morning except Sunday which bad full Somerset breakfasts, breakfast baps, pancakes, porridge etc. In the evening there is a different takeaway available every day some prepared and served on site with others delivered to site.
The approach road is ok. You shouldn't have any problem
Not sure.....you need to ask directly
