oh dear firstly this is not a B &B it's a run down middle aged couples alternate personal home! After host finally opened warped front door I was greeted by the most awful pungent old and current cooking smells that continued upstairs into a back cold single room! I had just arrived from warmer climate tried to turn radiator on did not work! was shown a " cupboard bathroom" that you cannot use after 10 pm as it's so noisy would wake the owners up that obviously light sleepers, no lock on door , creaking stairs to walk after 10 pm to downstairs bathroom, felt unwelcome and then told I cannot enter building through warped front door but had to go around that back off a different road , through a jumble of junk and old wood then final insult you will have breakfast at 8.30, I had to get my friend to return to property to retrieve my luggage as I could not re-enter this place ! had to spay my clothes i with perfume as I stank of cooked food , paid them in full enjoy the money maybe spend it on a deep clean? don't go near this place just awful and I own and rent out apartments abroad never thought this appalling standard still existed in South West! avoid! avoid! …

Charming cottage style B&B. Hosts Julie and Tor are very welcoming. Very eco-friendly. Breakfast consists of either fried egg, bacon & cherry tomatoes (all organic), toast and/or home made porridge, compot, blueberries and strawberries. Rooms are minimalistic but very clean and bright. Upstairs toilet is Saniflo & but noisy so have to use downstairs toilet after 10pm & before 8am.

Thank you, Julie and Tor, for making my first visit to Glastonbury so very special! I stayed in the "Moon in the Apple Tree" for 5 nights in November 2019. I had decided to join a small group of Swiss people on a mystic tour to the old Avalon - and Julie's and Tor's cosy family home ( once a worker's cottage dating back to around 1870) turned out to be my perfect place to stay. I had booked the single room which turned out to be very small indeed, but it was very comfortable and inviting. I was warmly welcomed by my hosts (including Nettle, the friendly dog) and each morning I was served a really delicious breakfast in the homely kitchen. The "cooked breakfast" was very nice - so was Tor's porridge. And blueberries as well as local strawberries (November!!!) were placed on the table. It was lovely talking to Julie and Tor, sharing thoughts and ideas and I enjoyed their company. I definitely will be back!…

Myself and my daughter stayed here, loved the aesthetic very clean and homely, lots of little details like hot water bottles though off. Excellent location and a healthy price for Glastonbury. Hosts very friendly and helpful.

No Locks on doors we had to walk around carrying our personal items as they couldn’t be left in the door . At night not even the inside door lock worked ( it had been painted over ) we had to put a towel stand across the door . No fire doors we will be reporting this once we get home ... It doesn’t stop there ...worse place ever the toilet sounded like a ship .We got lost trying to find the ZB& B ( which is clearly just someone ‘ s house) we had to knock on people’s doors as the place is a maze.

Response from Torstour, Owner at Moon in the Apple Tree B&B
Responded 30 Dec 2018
I’m very sorry you didn’t enjoy your stay with us. I do wish however you had waited to write your review till you had had the full experience, not within a few hours of your arrival. We are proud to share our cosy house with our guests, most people enjoy the warm, welcoming and safe atmosphere. People who are used to a large hotel environment don’t enjoy this experience so much. Also for a three bedroom property, unlike a multi roomed, multi floored hotel, we are not required to have fire doors. Next time I would suggest booking in at the Premier Inn this would be more what your looking for. Thank you.
