It was not until I arrived at the door having booked online that I realized had been here before…25 years ago! Not at all sorry, in fact delighted as it had always been one of my favourites. Lying on one of the loveliest slopes in England the rooms at the back have fine views over the city, and the conservatory... More

I came to stay for one night but stayed for two. My double room was well equipped (it even had adaptors for American and Continental electric appliances), very comfortable with an en suite shower room. Breakfast was very good and cooked to order, there was parking just outside and the location is very quiet. The 15 minutes walk to town... More

You won't get cheaper than the £30 I paid and for that you get everything you could want from a B&B. Short walk from the lovely centre of Wells. Parking, spotless attractive rooms, very friendly but not suffocating hosts. Should be near the top of the ratings

Great location, clean and totally friendly :) We felt very welcome and selection of all handmade james in the morning for breakfast was to die for! But the most important is a very... More

We travelled from Hastings, East Sussex for a family wedding and were met with a warm welcome from the proprietor; we were shown a small and neat room and given our own key. We spent a pleasant evening and enjoyed an excellent breakfast and would recommend this as an excellent example of a small, comfortable and relaxed English Bed and... More

Tricia made me feel right at home. The affordable double room w/ ensuite was immaculate and quiet, despite facing the road. The room wasn't large but this didn't matter to me in the slightest. The bed was firm and comfortable, the room & bathroom were very well equipped and the wi-fi signal was strong. Every morning Tricia's tasty, copious breakfast... More

Mary Road B&B is a hidden gem, just a few turns off the main road in Wells. The neighborhood is quiet, the room was clean and very comfortable and reasonably priced and there was parking. (A must have in England!). In the morning we had a wonderful breakfast while looking out on their garden - a darling space with flowers... More
