Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Wow what an amazing place went above and beyond for you. Celebrating my birthday they decorated the lodge and made it the best experience ever. Thank you so much we will be back. Hot tub was out of this world didnt want to get out. Bed was so comfy and everywhere was so clean and tidy and we were shown around to tell us how everything worked.

We booked a suite for the start of our honeymoon and got upgraded to a lodge when we arrived. It was amazing so private and in immaculate condition. The man who greeted us on reception was so friendly and recommended the local pub which served an amazing breakfast!

Rather than lodge this is a room within a lodge. Perfect for a couple I guess but quite cramped. We spent majority of the night searching for a plug in , which there wasn’t . Just a glass tray which had a very fragrant smell on it making us very sickly. I believe a plug in or similar had broken on this. The hot tub area is a short walk, with a fridge also included . The hot tub instantly gives off chemical smells which morning after I haven’t stopped itching ! you are also only allowed between checkin until 10pm? Which for the price of the stay in this room within a lodge is not very ideal. No breakfast or food included and the curtains in the room do not cover the whole patio and windows for privacy

Thorpe Thewles Lodge was the perfect getaway for myself and my partner. Upon arrival we where greeted by the most loveliest woman who instantly made us feel comfortable and welcome. The whole experience was so relaxing and peaceful. The bed was amazing and very comfy, slept great all night. The hottub was to die for, surrounded by the lights just made both of our nights. 100% recommend and we will be coming again!

This is a small establishment that differentiates itself from other B &Bs. The unique selling point is the private hot tub with outdoor fridge/freezer and complementary housecoats and slippers. Breakfast is not provided but quite honestly if you eat at the Vane Arms you couldnt face it neway. But if you do the pub offers a breakfast. BTW they also provide a 20% discount for lodge keyholders. The proprietor is friendly and offered to get me a bottle of wine to enjoy in the tub (I'm cycling). Room is big and ensuite also ticks tge boxes

This is stated as a ‘lodge’ however it was a room with a bed and tv and a small bathroom. Paid £190 for the night to be only allowed in the hot tub 3-10pm which for the price you’d expect to be allowed in it when you want. When In the hot tub it made me and my partner itch and feel uncomfortable so we’re not able to enjoy it. No breakfast included. Not worth the price at all and I wouldn’t go again.
