Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed here for 1 night., as we were attending a concert at the very nearby Globe Theatre. Checking in was smooth and efficient, with happy and helpful staff. We were offered a slightly larger room than we booked, and for an extra £5 we thought why not? The room was very spacious, immaculately clean and very well equipped. The bar and restaurant areas are very clean and welcoming and the buffet breakfast was delicious. We had a drink at the bar too and again no issues at all. We paid £7 for parking , which is no problem as the car park is literally on the doorstep. All in all a very pleasant stay. I would have marked this a five but for one issue. It was difficult to get to sleep due to some mechanical noise, possibly air con units? Not sure if they were in the roof above us or just close by, but it did spoil the experience a little. We didn’t mention this on check out as there was only one staff member on the desk. We would stay again, just not in room 502.

Easy access to main roads and can go many places in north Yorkshire dales. It is clean and modern hotel and the breakfast is fine. I never had any problems with the parking which is right next to the hotel.

Rooms were spacious and comfortable, the ones we had on the 5th floor were extremely quiet. The staff were very friendly and efficient and the breakfast was superb, lots of choice inc. vegetarian. The car park outside was £7 per night but is right next to the hotel, so it is convenient and easy to find. We arrived early evening after a family event in Stockton & considered going out to eat but there wasn’t much open around the hotel, so we ate in & are glad we did - just a simple meal of Nachos, fries and salad but it was really nice in comfortable surroundings. After a good sleep my 14 year old son, who never usually expresses an opinion said it was ‘a lovely hotel’. We agree.

First time we have stayed at a Hamilton by Hilton and were super impressed. The staff were very friendly and attentive, the hotel was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Bedrooms were very comfy. A good English breakfast to round off a great stay.

I had to attend Stockton for a family bereavement and found this hotel was handy to get to the places we needed to. I am at Hilton loyalty member and have been for a long time but due to standard slipping I haven’t attended one of the hotels recently. The hotel itself is fairly modern but it is in the middle of a town that is rundown and has little to do when we booked into the hotel, the receptionist was very unpolite sullen and miserable. When we asked a question we received one word answers as though she didn’t wish to speak to us after booking in we went to the room which was adequate we noticed there were no bathrooms, toiletries or slippers provided for the use of guests. Then went out to see family in the area and on our return found the car park was full and we were unable to park. I spoke to the receptionist and asked if they had other parking and I was told Flatly no you have to park in the street but your car will need to be moved early in the morning so you don’t get a ticket.I advised the receptionist that vehicles in the car park were badly parked and some were taken up two spaces. I also noted they had vehicles parked in disabled base that were not displaying Dissability badges. When I spoke to staff asking about water in the room, I was told they don’t supply it and we had to buy it from the bar. Again, this is a surprise to me as I do not think I have ever been to a hotel, no matter what level I am staying at I’ve not had water supplied. I was forced to park in the street overnight and get up earlier than I needed to so I could move the car and not get a ticket. As I didn’t wish to pay the parking fee of £7 for a two hour stay, we had to leave the hotel. I noticed all the evening staff were extremely young and appeared badly trained and inexperienced. In all this type of hotel is the reason I no longer stay at Hilton owned companies as the standard is extremely poor and the staff badly trained in Customer relations.

A beautifully clean hotel, very relaxed and informal, no room service but you can order at bar and take upstairs. Great choice of gluten free food and the team were very knowledgeable, Food first night was risotto, rice a bit gelatinous bute edible, 2nd night Thai Green Curry, which was excellent. Breakfast - provided sealed container with GF bread, instead of having to ask for it. Car park at front, nice spacious room, rooms cleaned daily. Quiet at night and really comfy bed.

Stayed her for just one night recently. Parked right outside the hotel in their car park (£7 surcharge but worth it IMO), and was greeted by a lovely lady on reception (Sharon I think?). Very nice hotel , modern and stylish interiors and all very well kept. We were given the option of a room on the top floor which had great views. The room itself was really good, great bathroom and the beds were extremely comfortable. Nice TV and quick wi-fi as well. Breakfast next morning was very good, plenty of choices of hot and cold items served in a buffet style. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, a rarity these days! The only minor gripe was that the dining area was quite cold for breakfast, some guests having coats on! Otherwise a very pleasant stay, we will certainly be returning next time we’re in the area.

I am Disabled. This hotel doesnt care about that...I drove up to park and to my surprise i found 2 trucks occupying the Disabled car spaces....Upon checking at the recpetion he just avoided me and passed me on to the next person despite me explaining i had a massive swelling in my foot as a result of the long walk i had to do to park my car somewhere else. Not very customer friendly....They didnt even bother to ask once...STAY ELSEWHERE BUT HERE
