Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stayed the night for my works Christmas party. Rooms were dreadful and in desperate need of updating. The room smelt of damp and the condensation on the doors and windows was pretty bad. No hot water at 5:30 to get ready for party. I called reception and I was advised that it was because a lot of people were showering and we had to wait 25/30 minutes. Not impressed. The room was very dark and dingy (Mews 7) Iron didn’t work well. I plugged my charger in behind beside table…clearly it hasn’t cleaned in a long time - the dust and dirty behind the bed was disgusting. The party night was good and the breakfast lovely. Shame about the rooms and facilities

Arranged to have Festive Afternoon Tea with my church ladies group, 15 of us. Booking was easy and they were helpful and flexible with numbers. The venue was warm and cosy. The food was lovely and they kept the tea and coffee flowing. Staff were really friendly and fun, especially Sammy, Not always sure how a Christmas event is going to go but everyone enjoyed the whole afternoon. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again or recommend.

We visited today for an afternoon tea, I'd definitely recommend, was absolutely lovely, couldn't fault it, staff were attentive, we enjoyed finger sandwiches, a warm fruit scone with cream and jam, and a selection of homemade cakes, book in advance but definitely worth it...

The hotel itself is beautiful on the outside and in the inside. The Hotel Rooms are old-fashioned, but clean and classy. I've meet the Waiter Samy who helped me with my booking and he even bring me to my room, wonderful Person. The food in the restaurant is awesome and also quite affordable. I've stayed for four days and can absolutely recommend this Hotel.

We had a business promotional meeting at the Ravenwood Hotel. Our overall experience was fantastic. From organising the event to delivery of the event. The pavilion was beautiful and a great place for a presentational evening or any event. Staff were so incredibly helpful as we had to change details of the evening last minute, nothing was too much trouble. James the manager was so accommodating when we requested to change last minute details and he brought his experience to suggesting what would be the best option for us to choose. Nothing was too much trouble. On the evening the staff were attentive and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The food was wonderful and everything brought out in a timely manor to match our meeting agenda. Feedback from the attendees after the meeting gave reference to how lovely the venue was and how good the food and wine was. Overall the experience was out of this world and I could not recommend the Ravenwood Hotel enough. A great experience and we will be booking future events there again. Thank you to all James and all of his staff.
