The staff were wonderful and went out of their way to make the stay an enjoyable experience, this including evening, night and morning staff. Had an evening meal which was prepared by Matt and the steak was one of the finest that I have eaten. A big thank you to all of the team at the hotel. Tony L

Booked a couple of days before arrival, and was not dissapointed. Set in its own grounds, it was very quiet, so good nights sleep was easily obtained. The welcome was warm and friendly, room more than adequate and very clean. The food was absolutely delicious, Thanks Matt. Will be booking again next time in Bury St Edmunds.

We chose this hotel because we were attending a friend's 60th birthday dinner there. The room (conservatory) had been beautifully decorated by Ana for the party. The food was very good and everybody had a great time. We had a leisurely meal and did not feel at all rushed. Stefan was very attentive. The bedroom was clean and tidy with...

Don't be fooled by the hotels website. A lot of the rooms are not in the main building, but are garden rooms. Ours, 12, was really tired. Carpet was stained by the foot of the bed. Getting hot water for a shower was impossible, at best luke warm and turned stone cold while in shower. Not really good enough. Breakfast...

Stephan went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed and spent time with us chatting. Stephan is a very interesting man, who has a wealth...

I visited The Priory on 14th January 2017 to attend my friends Wedding Reception. We booked into the hotel at approx. 7pm and were greeted by a blonde lady on reception (I didn't catch her name) she was really friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome immediately. We went to our room, no16 which was almost chalet like. There...

A superbly run, comfortable hotel with exacting standards of excellence for the money. The staff are "blue riband" in customer service and always, always, put the guest first. This is backed with excellent food served in beautiful surroundings. All rooms are excellent (I've stayed here approximately 10 times in the past 5 years). It gets better with each stay. Highly...
