I've stayed here twice now and would describe both visits as about on par. The hotel is a bit rambling. On arrival I read a sign at reception saying that if no one was there got to the bar. I then stood at the bar and waited until the barman had finished serving. I told him I was checking in...

We stayed here as a stop over, and the local premier inn was full. It was slightly more expensive but it is in a great town centre location. First impressions of the hotel reception was very new and nice with good parking. The pub area stank of sticky floors and a "dirty" pub. The route to the room was dated...

My colleague and I were on our way to Norwich and when we realised that we weren't going to get there in time we decided to stay in a B&B somewhere en-route. I found The White Hart with my laterooms app and I booked us a pair of rooms. We found The White Hart in the main street in Newmarket...

Stayed the one night before visiting the gallops, National Stud and enjoying a day at the races. Accommodation was a bit tired perhaps but suited our purposes. Arranged for a very early breakfast as we had to be away before 7am and it was fine. Large bar area with a decent selection of Marston's real ales. Didn't eat our evening...

Stopped off here for lunch on our way to Thorpe Forest. Carpark was quite full so we took that as a good sign that many people were there However, went through the reception area and nobody on the desk. Went through to the bar and no staff there either. Place was so cold that we had to keep our coats...

Just come back from lunch at The White Hart, I can honestly say either the food was left in the fryer extra long or the fat is really old and needs changing our food was a very dark brown instead of a golden brown... Service was ok, I haven't been to The White Hart in a while, I think I...

Room looked nice, as were the staff. Cooked breakfast was also good. However the room we stayed in was freezing cold and we were told that the heating hadn't made it through the whole building yet. The bathroom window was also broken and we were unable to close this fully. Considering the price that was paid I had expected to...

Booked in for a three night stay, beginning tonight. (23.10.16). However I am back home in Peterborough after taking one look at the room. We arrived at the White Hart late afternoon and found it to be a nice pub in the middle of Newmarket. The staff were friendly and polite and although nobody was at reception it was not...

This was our second visit here for Sunday lunch after a pleasant morning at a local car-boot sale, and it was just as good as the first outing in August. We both chose the Sunday roast again (two for the price of one!), but opting for a different meat this time (Half-chicken, beef or pork belly), and this came with...

Great Sunday lunch. As it was a two for one offer, I wasn't expecting a lot but turned out to be one of the best Sunday lunches I have had for a long time!! Staff are very friendly with a good atmosphere!!
