We stayed for 2 nights. The first night we were going today Newmarket races. We arrived early afternoon and despite it being before check in time they checked and the room was ready so we were able to check in & get ready. We went down into the pub and had some food which was delicious & a couple of drinks. The bus (free) picks you up outside the pub and takes you to the race course and drops you back outside later. Really could not fault the ease of travel. The room was clean and spacious. It wasn’t to noisy at all despite being above the pub (we were worried about this but needn’t of been). Each night we had drinks in the pub before bed. Staff were friendly & helpful during the entire stay. We would highly recommend this hotel and if we returned to new market we will be booking back in here.…
On arrival, waiting to check in, people came past stating rooms was like faulty towers, on our check in, was advised music is loud & on till 1am, we knew of music but not so late, might be an idea to add this to information. Triple room was large, comfortable beds, the floor had a fews dips in, bathroom was clean, 1 of the windows was stuck, so couldn't open. Bar was busy with race goers, but got served quickly. We returned from the races at 11pm, music was very loud, we had 2 wait till 1am to sleep, so would never book agn, perhaps if we had known it was this late, would have gone elsewhere, maybe OK midweek.
Incredibly friendly hotel staff, really made a 2 night stay special, couldn't do enough for you. Rooms comfortable with everything you need, fairly small but ideal for a stay after the races. Rooms are warm in summer but there are fans. Perfectly positioned hotel and convenient parking. The whole experience felt really easy.
Nice double room free wifi got 20% of food staff very helpful, bar very nice modern lots tvs for sport, hotel a bit tired but not dirty. Lovely breakfast. Will come back for a good day at races, with mates it's central and that's ideal for a party.
Having stayed in some of the Marstons Inns around the country I booked this one as I’ve been really impressed with their clean and modern rooms. This place doesn’t resemble any of the previous Marstons Inns I’ve stayed at. Grubby rooms, light bulbs missing, dirty, just really really poor. If I’m honest I can’t believe Marstons are putting their name to this place. Shame as in a prime location on the high street. Won’t be returning.
