Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed here while attending a wedding at the Restaurant next door. It is a beautifully put together guest house with quirky features that I loved. Our room was very comfortable with a large bathtub in the bathroom and separate dressing room. The gardens are exceptional. David was so welcoming on arrival. I will definitely stay here again so I get to enjoy it more when I'm not out at a wedding. There is no food served but the Restaurant next door offers plenty of choice and there's lots within distance. Loved our stay. Will definitely return!

REALLY enjoyed our stay. FABULOUS room, so unique... love unique. I am so please to have found this OASIS, full of character and good Carma! Spent some time in the lovely gardens surrounding the house - a peaceful retreat. Spotlessly clean big rooms. Very friendly owner and cat. (David and Lilly). Would highly recommend this AMAZING hotel.

Booked a nights stay due to being away with work, and would highly recommend! Friendly, welcoming and quiet surroundings! Clean twin room and private bathroom. Even woke up to a deer grazing outside our window!

Hedgefield House is stunning. The decor is quirky, full of character, the rooms are decorated to the highest standards and the whole property is spotlessly clean and fresh. The property sits in extensive mature gardens. David the owner was extremely helpful, telling me the history of the house and showing me the other exeptional rooms - all decorated individually and again to the highest standards and spotlessly clean. I found the four poster bed to be very comfortable and supportive. If you love a house with individual character then I highly recommend a stay at Hedgefield House. Its in a great location with the Metro Centre being only ten minutes away, a restaurant next door. I will certainly be returning soon.

I have been missing from writing reviews for a while but my stay at Hedgefield House last night reminded me why i should take the time to share my experiences, after all i always look for other peoples reviews when searching for somewhere myself. What an excellent place, we were greeted by David when we arrived and shown to our room, we immediately felt welcome and as if we returning old friends, what an excellent host, our room was spotless, spacious and very comfortable. We were attending a birthday celebration at a nearby restaurant and did not want the hassle of sorting taxis, the stay was probably only marginally more than the costs of taxis anyway. Because the hotel was so beautiful and David such a warm host my wife and i discussed the possibility of staying again and having a night at the near by restaurant/pub even though it is only 7 miles from where we live, if that doesn’t tell you what we thought of this hotel i do not know what will, Thank David, see you soon.

Well what can I say about this place not only is the grounds on this luxury place stunning g but the staff are just so warming and welcoming. Due to personal circumstances I was left without a place to live going day to day without knowi g where I’ll be staying this place has. Just lifted my spirit up The kindness and warmth of David and the other staff are less then describable Life’s been tough for last few months for me loosing my mom and best friend recently then loosing my home but being here has made me feel upbeat. I feel safe comfortable and just welcomed here if I had to rate places I’ve stayed over years this has to be one of the best if not the best See for yourself Rooms are amazing grounds are picturesque 10/10 Kriss

What a lovely surprise to find this gem set in beautiful grounds. Stayed in the annex block which was going through refurbishment but not intrusive on stay. The new bathrooms are separate from large comfortable rooms. The owner was very friendly and professional. Parking was available in gated secure park in the grounds. Price was very reasonable and you are surrounded by walks, interests and local towns Only down side was mirrors in new bathrooms too high for a short person like me. Lol Highly recommended Alan

You could be anywhere in England at this hotel, it has beautiful country gardens, lovely clean rooms and quirky decor. We stayed for our anniversary, had a walk next door to the restaurant and spent some time in the garden. Lots of squirrels and we even heard an owl outside of our window. All staff we spoke to were warm and friendly, the bed was very comfortable and the price is super reasonable for how lovely the place is. We will definitely be back.
