Me and my fiancé stayed here last night in one of the double bridge view rooms. The room was very spacious with a full stocked mini bar and snack bar. The bed was extremely comfortable and the view was amazing, we could see right down the river. There was an ironing board, tea and coffee facilities, wine glasses, bottle opener,...

Staff made it feel as if nothing was too much trouble and were genuinely pleased we were staying. Bedrooms very comfortable, and the location. Special thank you to Miri Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the Millennium Bridge from the front of the hotel

January pricing was low. I paid £114 for superior room with river view. No traffic noise and curtains were beautifully heavy so room was dark as midnight. Bed perfect, bathroom good although shower over bath is a bit dated. Bar and service were of a high standard. This is a really nice place to stay.

Stayed there from Sunday 15th January to Monday 16th. Room was a "superior room" was nothing superior about it. Stayed in a premier Inn many times and it was no better than that. Lighting in room is awful! Specially in the bathroom room, room is quite small also. Had a drink in the bar down stairs and the were staff...

I stay in hotels quite regularly but felt this visit deserved a good review. The hotel itself is situated in a fantastic place, great views and handy for all the city has to offer. The service at breakfast was particularly superior to other hotels. Nothing beats a pretty face that greets you with a warm welcome. Emma was very busy...

We did have a little giggle as she come over to collect the plates and asked if the food was ok. It was lovely but we couldnt eat it all as we...

First time staying here as part of a stay and dine deal. The hotel itself is really nice and has a nice ambience. Staff were very friendly and welcoming in the hotel and restaurant. The location is good for the centre of Newcastle with great views of the Millennium Bridge, The Sage and The Baltic. There's not much hotel parking...

The hotel is very well located with lovely views from some rooms and the restaurant. My stay(s) have been 'made' by the service I have received, especially from a certain employee (lovely lady from Northern Ireland, Tessie). The service and conversation at breakfast have been well received. I have stayed at the Manchester Mal', however the Newcastle location is better.

Lovely restaurant with spectacular views of the millennium bridge, especially if you are seated by the window. First visit to the Malmaison, we went with friends for Sunday lunch.... very impressed. We were really well looked after by Tessie, who was extremely attentive. She added a personal touch by introducing herself, and asking for our christian names, then called us...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Fog on the Tyne? Let's hope not. Otherwise you'll miss the great view of the Tyne Bridge you get from our hotel in Newcastle city centre. But then, when you're staying at Malmaison Newcastle, it's the views on the inside that tell you your boat's come in. While you're right at the heart of Newcastle's great shops and exciting nightlife, the lure of MALBAR's legendary cocktails and the Mal Brasserie's classic dishes with a twist is pretty strong. And who wants to spend all night out on the town when one hotel in Newcastle has a whole floor with a shipbuilding theme and bathtubs you could sink a battleship in? It could only be the Newcastle Mal. ... more   less
