Stayed here for one night on my own. Very friendly staff, warm welcome. Room was small and basic but perfect for what I needed. Great shower, nice bed. Well ventilated with two opening windows. There's a Turkish restaurant next door that you can get discount at but I wanted an Indian so walked up to the Dabbawal. About 10 mins...

My wife and myself have just returned from a lovely 10 day visit to Newcastle. We were made to feel really welcome at this guest house/hotel. On arrival we were met by Keeran and Karen and not having booked in advance they really did go the extra mile to accommodate us in a nice double room which had a lovely...

My single room small cramped but clean and tidy. Staff were extremely helpful. Could do with printing walking route to metro. Breakfast was excellent and staff were very attentive. Would I visit again, yes but would go for double room g

Me and my girlfriend stayed at this hotel for the night as we wanted a night away from our home town as a change of scenery. We were welcomed by Michael, and given the key to our room "no 36" the room isn't anything life changing, but it does have everything you need. Had free WiFi, TV on the wall,...

Its a nice place to stay in Newcastle. Especially when you have arrived late at night and don't want a dorm room bed to sleep in I didn't get to have Breakfast as I slept in. A short walk from the local metro station

I chose this hotel because of the price, location and free parking. Clearly for under £36 I wasn't expecting luxury. Check in friendly and efficient- I didn't even have to say who I was. Parking was available at the rear of the hotel. I got the key to Room 38 on second floor at the back. Lift available. Basic room....

Terrible hotel. Room was so small I couldn't open my 1940s wardrobe without hitting the ancient uncomfortable single bed. I would have had more room if I slept in the car. Miserable decor and old and tired throughout. Miserable bloke on reception. Spend another £30 and stay at the Cairn Hotel on Osbourne Road .

Stayed at the hotel for several weeks and found the hotel a pleasure to stay at. It may be a converted set of houses with the associated hallways and weird shaped rooms but it is clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff are excellent and nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast is excellent and sets you up for the day....

I've been very pleasantly surprised by the Dene. Having been booked in by my company I wasn't sure what to expect. I have a lovely room which isn't huge but is nicely done out. The bed is amazingly comfortable and I'm really sad I'm here working so I can't spend more time in it! There is also a gorgeous wet-room...
