Travelling across the country and stopping for one night only, the beds gave us a decent sleep even in a dorm. Hostel was full of travellers and good to share the stories. Average, with nothing additional to offer. Just good.

Newcastle is a hard drinking town - pick your hostel carefully. I stayed here at the beginning of the Hadrian's Wall Path. It is near a metro station that will take you to the trailhead, or if you are stubborn you can walk it, but it is a long walk at the beginning of what is going to be a...

We stayed here for 2 nights at the start of Hadrians Wall Path. We booked a 2 bed room in advance and as it was our first ever stay was not sure what to expect. We were impressed with what was on offer. All reception staff were friendly and helpful, the room although basic and small (no more than we...

We stayed at this hostel prior to walking Hadrian’s Wall. It is ideally located close to Jesmond Metro Station so very accessible from the main station and also for Wallsend Station (for the start of the walk). We stayed in a 6 bed female dormitory which was very clean and situated next to an equally spotless shower room. The beds...

Washroom facilities were great, there was a sink in our shared room and the beds were very comfy allowing for a good nights sleep. Staff were friendly and we found the hotel ideally located near to a metro station for easy...

Stayed in 2 different rooms in this hostel on consecutive nights. One was not so good and the other the following and it was more than adequate. Very handy for city centre. Near local rail station which goes to airport. Newcastle nice city. 1 day travel ticket good value as it includes ferries across the Tyne. Underwhelmed by breakfast. Staff...

I stayed at the YH for a week and had a great stay. The place was very clean and well organised. The staff were extremely friendly and did everything they could to ensure I had a comfortable stay. The kitchen and dining room were very clean and there was a comfortable lounge with TV.

myself and 5 friends booked a 6 beded room in april. The room consisted of 3 sets of bunbeds on the 1st floor, the room had a small sink but the main bathrooms were just next to the room. The room was basic but comfortable and clean although we had to collect a sheet from the reception desk to sleep...
