After attending a wedding in Newcastle City Centre we decided to book a night here rather than taxi the relatively short distance home. Our room was exceptionally clean and extremely quiet especially considering the hotel appeared to be full and how busy town was. We both slept really well.
Breakfast was plentiful with a wide variety of hot and cold items and the staff on duty cleared away in a timely manner creating an ambient atmosphere.
However, the greatest selling point of this hotel has to be the amazing staff. The welcome by Laura and Michael on arrival was a joy. Later that night Michael also had the unenviable task of taking our photo. Not something I would envy but he smiled throughout ( or was it a grimace) and managed to take a fairly decent photo. Maybe he knows how to filter.
This hotel is very close to the train station and all the local amenities which in itself is a bonus bit its greatest selling point has to be the staff. I can only name a few I dealt with during my stay, Michael, Laura, Audrey and Craig but they really are a credit to the hotel. They seemed to be constantly busy but never without a smile. The manager must be really proud. Or are they so good due to management? Probably a combination as they all appeared really happy Would I stay again?? Of course

Traveling by train and only being in toon for one night, finding somewhere central was top of the list.

Sleeperz is in a great location and, certainly at the time of traveling, was a great price. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, a difficult job to do with a mask on behind a screen.

The room is extremely modern with a well though out lay-out. There are sockets by the bed, a well designed and equipped bathroom, complete with heated mirror and a large shower and most importantly, the whole place was spotless.

Only criticism I had was the noisy air con unit, however it wasn't a problem as it wasn't that warm.

I would recommend Sleeperz and will definitely return.

Just spent a night at Sleeperz, 2 couples and couldnt fault it at all. Bedrooms were spotless, compact and modern with everything you needed for your stay. Five minute walk to the train station and just a little more to the quayside. Excellent value prosecco at £15.95 a bottle was also welcomed ... Staff were lovely and couldn't beote helpful. Breakfast was all fresh and plentiful with staff replenishing dishes regularly. Will def return and highly recommend.

The staff at this hotel are excellent and helpful they have security all night into the early hours of the morning so that it is residents only past 11pm. Despite the great staff the only complaint I would have is that the windows don’t open and the Tv in the room Is very outdated. The location is perfect for anyone wanting to go clubbing or out shopping and the breakfast is good and worth the price however only runs till 9:30am on a weekday. Overall a nice place.

Booked to stay with this hotel at the start of April, of course we could no longer attend due to Covid-19 and there being lockdown restrictions. This hotel agreed to refund my money hours months later I have not received a penny from them. I emailed and called twice being fobbed off each time. In the end I had to get Booking.com involved where they couldn't even resolve it with the hotel so they've refunded me instead! I totally understand it is a bad time for everyone, especially this hotel. However, I contacted on multiple occasions and it did not look like I was ever going to see my money again, especially when I had lost my job due to the pandemic, I am I was very much in need of my money back.

Having stayed in the Sleeperz in Dundee we thought we’d give this one a try but have to say Dundee is miles better!

But let’s do positives…check in was easy, the price was great, location is brilliant literally 5 minutes from the station. The rooms are reasonably modern, breakfast was fine for the fiver we paid.

Negatives…the rooms are at best compact. Far smaller than their Dundee counterparts. Ours had zero view. Like nothing but a white brick wall. Very dark and very claustrophobic. The real gripe though was noise. The floor creaked lie crazy. You could hear noise from the bar area until that closed. Guests wandering at all hours. If someone flushes the loo expect to be woken by the noise. The AC makes an annoying clicking noise so ended up just turning it off.

Lucky if I got 90 minutes sleep. Left tired. So avoid rooms starting with 100 numbers to avoid noise from below and ask for a view…basically avoid room 110.

Stayed here for a night out in Newcastle with the wife and it's in a great location for the bars & clubs,
We booked a superior room and was allocated 418, up on the 4th floor at one end of the building with a view of the Castle & Tyne Bridge oh and the East Coast mainline.
The room was fairly basic but everything needed for a pleasant night, one slight criticism would be the bathroom was very small and the shower was lacking power.
We included breakfast when we booked ( cheaper than paying when in hotel ) and that was decent with plenty of choice ( buffet style).
All things said I'd stay here again and book the same room if available.

We have stayed in many hotels in Newcastle over past few years and thought for location this looked perfect . How wrong was I ??? There is a nightclub Jalou round the corner which blares music till 3am . It was so loud I swear you could have put the bed on the dance floor and the noise level would have been the same.
The hotel was clean and the room adequate for a low cost stay but I would never return .
We had previously stayed at the Hampton by Hilton which faces the nightclub and did not hear a single thing .
The housekeeping team were hoovering and shouting along corridor to each other at 8am on Sunday morning, felt like I had just managed to close my eyes too.
Going home now for a good sleep 😴

We originally booked this hotel for the 2020 Great North Run and were delighted when they allowed us to delay until 2022. In truth the hotel seemed very geared up to support the run. It is very centrally located near the train station and the rooms are clean, if a bit on the small side. I didn’t try breakfast as I was running but my wife reported it was excellent value. The cherry on top though was their accessible showers for runners to clean up afterwards and a much needed banana to eat. Well done!
