This is exactly what you would expect from a holiday inn. Modern, clean, friendly staff, decent breakfast. Why an "average" rating then? Well, its for things you dont expect from a Holiday Inn... The bed for example was uncomfortable (far too lumpy for my liking). Also, and most importantly, there was hair on the decorative pillow on my bed! Long...

This was a one night stay as we were going to see a show in Newcastle. After a bit of a trial by one way system getting to the hotel we parked in the Grainger multi storey car park that is next door. Unusually for a multi (in our experience at any rate!) it is pay and display. The Hi-Ex...

Was visiting for a night with a family of three. This hotel delivered exactly what we expected for a Holiday Inn Express, the rooms were clean, the staff welcoming and everything very efficient. The breakfast was I would say slightly better than in some other Holiday Inn Express's I have stayed in (or that maybe because of the way the...

The staff were always friendly from the receptionist to the breakfast staff and even the handy man! The room was clean and better than what the pictures showed. The bathroom was lovely and well decorated. The buffet breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of hot and cold food and drink, everything you could want. They even provide free toiletries...

Across from train station and metro (2 mins) Parking - parking next door £6 a day (£3 Sunday) 8-5pm - free after 5pm. You can pay online in advance. Room - a touch crowded but there were 4 is...

After family booking this for us due to an awful experience at another hotel. We arrived here to be greeted by friendly staff, Michael on reception was exceptional! The room we were given was actually already occupied but this was not an issue and they gave us another room quickly! The bar prices are reasonable and the free breakfast is...

I stayed here for one night with my two children. The hotel has a good central location near the train station, but as other reviewers have pointed out it is noisy. We were on the fifth floor but the noise during the night (it was a Saturday) was annoying. I understand it is in the middle of Newcastle and noise...

Dear Guest Many thanks for taking the time to write your review. We find as we are right in the City Centre that some of our guests are not used to the sound of the city and prefer complete silence due to maybe living in the country therefore we offer ear plugs as a matter of course. I am sorry...

Excellent service from staff, very accommodating and professional. Really lovely room. Only gripes are one that can't be helped; location, even 5 floors up it sounded like New York rather than Newcastle outside, with very loud drunken girls screaming at 2 in the morning and police sirens hurtling by. But nothing the hotel can do about that... My second gripe...
