Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Yes, it’s basic but doesn’t pretend to be anything else. Guy at check in was friendly and welcoming and asked us what floor we preferred… a view over the street but as high as possible so less noisy, please! Room was pretty small, very limited hanging space and no drinking glasses so bring your own water bottles. Bathroom was sparkling clean with nice large towels and a great shower. I wouldn’t recommend a week’s relaxing stay here but for one night after a gig in town, it was perfect! Much cheaper than a taxi home and we will definitely be doing it again!

Not the best Easy Hotel I have ever stayed in. Bloke on reception was not very friendly. The bed was uncomfortable, fortunately, we only stayed one night. On the plus side it was in a good location with a lovely little Italian restaurant just opposite a bit further up the hill. Think I would look for an alternative, if coming to stay in Newcastle again.

Booked two rooms which should inlcude double and twin in each room ( six beds in total). One of the rooms was not as per booking. Hotel said they couldnt do anything and that we should complain to expedia. When contact by expedia, hotel later denied the claim despite the photo attached. Room was not provided as per booking confirmation. DO NOT BOOK AT THIS PLACE VERY DISHONEST.

This hotel is about 10 to 15 mins walk to Newcastle Central Station and the metro station to the airport. Fortunately, the Easy Hotel is down hill from the station. The only negative is going back to the station - a taxi will be necessary, if you have too much luggage. I arrived at the hotel very late about 11:30pm. My room had an internal window, with a courtyard style view of some trees. The bathroom was fantastic and air-con was very effective in the hot summer. There was a desk, but surprisingly no chair! (see photo). The Tyne river and the wonderful boardwalk is only a 5 minute stroll from the hotel, with various eateries and restaurants along the way. In addition, the Newcastle Castle (which seems strange to say) is a very short walk uphill for 5 to 10 mins from the hotel. Based on the user pay system, (the Easy brand philosophy),there is a charge to store you bags after checkout: for 5 Pounds. However, I was very happy to pay this, as the general room rate is significantly less than other hotels in the area. I highly recommend this hotel!

I have stayed at a couple other Easyhotel in other areas, but to me this one is the best, the check in and out process was very quick,I booked a double room with no windows as I don't see the point as I am not spending much time in the room,I was very surprised how large the room was, and the room was clean and tidy, the bed was very comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful, the hotel is in a perfect location right near the Tyne bridge and very close to the city center,I will definitely stay there again.
