Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This hotel was in a good location and all the staff were pleasant. However our room was made up with twin beds and not a double as requested- this was addressed. The bathroom floor was cleaned, but not properly- there were still bits on the floor. The refreshments in the room had not been replenished properly before we arrived- we had to ask for breakfast teabags. The toilet seat was cracked and there was a grey looking flannel in the bathroom! Attention to detail is needed.

Hotel's Favourite
Everything about this hotel was excellent, from the courtesy call a week before to check our requirements, to the checkout desk at the end of our stay. We were only there for one night to go to the theatre, which was a short three or four minutes walk. There was plenty of room in the car park when we arrived mid-afternoon. There was a £12.50 per day charge for parking, but this is pretty standard in city centre hotels, and the convenience was well worth it. The check in was efficient and pleasant. On arriving at the room we found a small bottle of bubbly and some chocolates on a plate, with happy birthday piped onto it in chocolate for my wife. Such a lovely touch. A couple of minutes later we had a courtesy call from reception to check that everything in the room was ok. It was. We had asked for one of the contemporary rooms with aircon, as it was particularly hot during our stay. The room was spacious, comfy bed, nice decor, minibar with a few complimentary drinks and snacks, spacious bathroom. All very clean. Breakfast was excellent. Buffet options: cereals, fruit, pastries, cheese, cold meats etc. and a cooked menu. All of the staff we encountered were very helpful and friendly. We will definitely stay here again next time we come to Stratford.

My first stay at this hotel. Managed to get a car park space. The car park is small and it's first come, first served. The first thing I noticed was how lovely the reception smelled as I walked in. We were checked in quickly by a friendly receptionist. She explained that snacks and drinks in the room were complimentary. My room, 128, was lovely (no view though as window faced a brick wall but I didn't mind this). The bed was huge and very comfortable. Toiletries in the bathroom were nice. We had a drink in the bar in the evening, nice bar area and atmosphere. Thoroughly enjoyed my 1 night stay.

It was our first stay at this fabulous 4 star hotel. My wife and I stayed over 2 nights with breakfast included. We were able to park our car in their park for £12.50 per day. The tudor room which we stayed in was very comfortable and overlooked the main road into Stratford Town centre. The all inclusive cooked English breakfast was very adequate and cooked to perfection.

Stayed at the Indigo for three nights in Mar 2024. Excellent location for visiting Stratford 2 mins walk to the centre. Found the hotel staff very helpful and the room was clean and well appointed. Just one thing to watch, the rooms at the front of the hotel in the old part are above the bar and it can be noisy although mostly quiet after about 11pm.

We asked for a room in the older part of the hotel and were delighted to be given a Georgian room. It was a really nice room and overlooked 'Shakespeares New Place'. It is situated in a fairly central area, making it easy to walk to most of the historic sites of Stratford as well as the shops. The on site parking is a bonus and reasonably priced. The food, dinner and breakfast, were both excellent ,as were the staff. We were staying as part of our anniversary celebrations, and were delighted to receive a small bottle of prosecco, some chocolates and a beautiful card quoting Shakespeare in our room when we arrived. Thanks to all concerned.

Hotel is very nice and well located in a central area. We paid for an upgraded room ….. which was frankly very disappointing. We had room 108 which looks out over a roof and a really miserable outlook. The “stocked” fridge for two consisted of a single packet of crisps and a single bar of chocolate and in fairness some drinks. Problem is it’s beside the lift and very noisy in the morning. Aside from this the staff were great and a nice place. For what we paid I expected a better room.

I had a lovely stay, the room is nice. I appreciate the fridge which had fresh milk for tea/coffee. Well equipped with everything you need. Public areas of the hotal are pretty, from the cosy snug to the reception area which overlooks the garden. Staff are friendly and helpful. Good breakfast, I had a cooked breakfast, but the continental was so good, I wished I'd stuck to that. The cooked option arrived almost immediately, which didn't leave much tme to enjoy the continental selction. Great location for seeing the town.
