Me and my partner has an absolutely wonderful stay. Bill was an amazing host and makes a delicious breakfast. The room is clean and spacious with a very comfy bed. The location it perfect as it’s a short walk from the train station and the city centre. would definitely recommend to anybody wanting a short weekend break.

I am very late in leaving this review, as I stayed at Moss Cottage in July of 2019, but I had to rave about the excellent stay I had. I was there for two nights, and I could not have asked for a better place to stay while in Stratford-Upon-Avon. Bill was an incredibly gracious host, and it was a dream stay. I walked to Moss Cottage after arriving by train, and it was completely doable. Bill was kind enough to let me leave my luggage in my room even though I was a little bit early, so that I could get out and explore the area. He was helpful with ideas as well, and let me know about ways to save on tickets. My room was spotless, as was the bathroom. The bed was comfy, and the amenities in the room were perfect. The forms for choosing what you wanted for breakfast were a nice touch as well, and whatever you choose there will not disappoint you!!! On the day I left, I had planned to walk back to the station. However, Bill was so very kind to drive me there himself. If you visit Stratford-Upon-Avon, you simply must stay at Moss Cottage. If I am lucky enough to visit there again, I will most definitely stay there! Thank you, Bill! :)

My only slight quarm about writing a review for Bill is that the more positive reviews he gets the more people might find out about his place and want to stay there. That might mean i had to stay somewhere else when in Stratford! But he deserves great reviews, While my main reason for visiting Stratford is to see the plays at the RSC, staying at Moss Cottage is definitely part of the delight in visiting the town. As well as the excellent rooms, great breakfast and fantastic host something else I enjoy there are the conversations. Not only with Bill, who is knowledgeable about the town, its surroundings and the theatre around the town, but also with the fellow guests. Almost every time I have stayed I have shared interesting discussions, with my fellow guests and with Bill, usually at breakfast time - much better than I have had anywhere else. This |I credit not only to my fellow guests but also the environment that Bill has created.

Moss Cottage is a short 15-minute walk to the core of the town. It was easily accessible by car and had off-street parking. Our room was very clean and had a large bathroom compared to other B&Bs. It actually had a roomy shower and tub. Tea, coffee, biscuits, and water bottles were in the room each night and the beds were very comfortable. We had the room with the two twins, on the first floor, and were quite comfy. The owner is delightful, offered us coffee and cake upon arrival, sat down with us and went over the map of the town and gave us the best route for the theater, also identifying good restaurants along the route. He gave us the morning menu the evening before so we could select our breakfast choices and have it ready for us at the time we wanted. A true B&B, breakfast was served at a family table, rather than at individual tables. We had a wonderful meal with other guests. I highly recommend the Moss Cottage.

Well here comes another "boring" review of Moss Cottage, lovely welcome with a parking spot on the doorstep. Bill is everything a host should be when running a B/B, nothing is to much trouble, the guy could go on Mastermind with the knowledge he has on Stratford, really helpful regarding places to visit and the room was light and airy and spotless, little noise from the main road but after 5 mins you dont notice it. Bottled water left every day in our room with biscuits and tea/.coffee. The breakfast was a delight, good products, well cooked and lovely breakfast trifles, try the many marmalades which are all homemade...yes another 5 star review and well worth it, till the next time.
