Rob and Claire are the best. From the moment we checked in, they made us feel like we were close friends. Our room was spacious, impeccably clean and comfortable. Breakfast was something not to be missed! The house itself is charming, well-kept and close to everything. Claire's recommendations of restaurants and villages to visit in the Cotswolds were spot on. In fact I cannot say enough good things about Avonlea Guest House!

We were made to feel very welcome and relaxed at the Avonlea by both hosts. The premises are kept immaculately clean and tidy. Recommendations for places to visit etc by Rob came in very handy and Clare was also wonderful letting us meet her very special friends! The breakfast is delicious and of a high standard. All Covid restrictions are adhered to and hand sanitiser is available for use. The premises is located very centrally and everything is within easy walking distance. Really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend to others as Clare and Rob are very attentive and lovely hosts!

I stayed here with friends and were greeted on arrival by Rob and Claire. The rooms are clean and spacious, with a made to order cooked breakfast in the morning!

The location is perfect to explore the town and it’s surroundings, with 2 local pubs within a 2 minute walking distance.

The town centre is a short walk away, simply leave your car at the B&B and enjoy your stay!

Overall I highly recommend staying here, the hosts are friendly and welcoming with a great set up in order to relax and explore the beautiful town of Stratford.

Fantastic room very very comfortable bed, spotlessly clean amd tastefully decorated. Great breakfast we tried full English and smoked salmon absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. Location meant we could explore Stratford on foot and parking meant we didn’t have to worry about charges.
Rob and Claire extremely friendly and relaxed and couldn’t be any more helpful. Will recommend to friends and family and definitely will come again

Stayed here for 2 nights with a friend. Family Room was spacious with a single and a double bed. Clean and comfortable. Mattress was nice and firm. Bathroom was clean. For breakfast you choose from a list and tick what you want and the hosts were very accommodating, they had a vegetarian option for my friend. Lovely hosts. Location was very convenient with the town centre being a few minutes walk and a bus stop outside the b&b. Definitely would recommend staying here.

Thank you very much for taking the time to review, we are glad you found the beds comfy. Our pre-order breakfast in new this year and it has been a great success, it's enabling us to offer a wider choice and use better ingredients as we are not wasting as much. The Avonlea is in a great position for easy access into Stratford-upon-Avon. All the landmarks apart from Hathaways Cottage are close by and within easy walking distance. Handy for all the local eating places with plenty to choose from. The guesthouse is very clean and the hosts Rob and Claire are very friendly (not forgetting Vern the Dog who is well behaved and adorable). Room 6 the family room is very spacious with tea making facilities, freeview tv and room fan .The bathroom has hand soaps, shower gels, plenty of towels etc. There is a hairdryer and hot water bottles in the drawer. Car parking spaces are available at the front and three spaces to the rear. Would go again without hesitation. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Warm welcome with face masks compulsory. Quick temperature check and hand sanitize, we had previously checked in online which was Covid compliant (very reassuring), before being shown to our room.

The room was free of unnecessary soft furnishings but was still very pleasant. The bed was comfortable and the linen was very high quality and immaculate. The bathroom was nice and modern with thick, fluffy, snow white towels and lovely toiletries. A great powerful shower too.

Breakfast was delicious and the service from the owners was friendly and efficient.

Location was a very short walk to Stratford town centre and the river. We will definitely stay at Avonlea in the future.

We stayed at Avonlea B&B for 4 nights in early September and would like to thank Clare and Rob for helping make our visit to Stratford upon Avon such a memorable one!
The house is just a few minutes walk from the lovely park and river, and another 5 mins to the shops, bars and restaurants.
Our room was very comfortable and the breakfasts were amazing! Nothing was too much trouble and we were asked every morning if we needed anything for our room while we were out and about.
They were both lovely to chat to and would highly recommend Avonlea to anyone visiting the area. Perfect location and perfect hosts.

Soooo lovely, didn’t want to write a review as everyone will want to stay! It’s so comfortable, clean and in a great location. Breakfast is to die for. Nothing is too much trouble for Clare & Rob -they make you feel so welcome. We had room 1 -ground floor due to hubby having problems with stairs. We slept so well -there are blackout curtains as it’s a sunny room. Shower is powerful, lots of hot water and shower products are plentiful and top class. Tea,coffee & water provided in the room.Little touches such as hot water bottles & hair dryer make for a very comfortable stay. We’ll be back!!

Hello, yes we do offer some vegetarian and Pescatarian alternatives. We have smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, home-made Herby baked beans on toast with a poached egg and we can also do a vegetarian version of a full English.
