WOW what an experience. Yes- it is very expensive for one night, but we thought with the current covid situation we aren’t going on hol so we could justify the expense for one night. The location of the suite is up very narrow winding steps, not for the faint hearted, we had to wait for visitors to leave the one way system before we could go to our room but after 4pm that’s not an issue as the castle closes to visitors. The concierge met us on arrival and it has to be said nothing is too much trouble for all the Concierge’s who changed shifts during our stay. They are professional and friendly. We were asked when we would like ice for our complimentary champagne, I’m pleased to say it was a quality bottle. We were given a gold card to access food and drink up till 4pm each day for 2 days. This is great especially as we had our boys with us age 5 and 12, they loved the ice cream and drinks unlimited idea !
The suite was very much in keeping of what we expected from a castle. Originally the prison of Edward the 4th it had interesting history and the ambience was grand.
The personal history tour conducted by Mark that evening was in depth and interesting, he was very passionate about the history of the castle which was nice to see.
The dungeon tour was fantastic. My husband and eldest son did that as its said to be very scary and it did not disappoint. The actors were brilliant and they created a very frightening atmosphere but also were able to convey real historical facts.
The falcon show was great, lots of spectacular birds, the only downside I would say is I would’ve expected preferential seating at this event as we were too far away to see the birds properly as they tend to fly over one section.
Breakfast in a state room was a good experience too. The table was set beautifully and the room was impressive, breakfast was plentiful although wildly overcooked in parts 🙈the toast was dangerous 😂having said that though I appreciate the kitchen isn’t close to the state room so it’s obvious it’s pre prepared and re heated in parts.
The not so great points were: the beds for the boys were dreadful. Basically a canvas camp bed, no mattress just a duvet. Consequently the youngest had to sleep with us and I doubled up on the eldest duvet to create a semi mattress.
The food choices were very limited due to covid no doubt only one sit down cafe open. If you don’t like sandwiches or fish and chips you will struggle. However, snacks were plentiful and as it’s all included if you don’t like a sandwich try a different one.
The room is musty and stuffy. To be expected I suppose as it’s a tower in a castle. To get some air flow we left open the battlement door after castle closed.
Overall we had a great time and I would definitely recommend it. It’s such a special experience.

Thank you so much for your lovely and detailed review! We're so pleased to hear that that overall your stay was so memorable! It's great to hear that our concierge team were so friendly and attentive and that you enjoyed your champagne and VIP card, despite our food offering being a little limited at the moment. We're really happy to hear that Mark conducted an engaging tour and that your husband and son were suitably scared by our Castle Dungeons! The Falconers Quest is one our most popular shows so it's super to hear you enjoyed that as well, and we appreciate your feedback around the seating. I'm sorry to hear your breakfast wasn't quite up to scratch but pleased to hear that the setting impressed you. Thank you for the constructive feedback around the beds and food choices as well. Overall, it's great to hear that you had such a fantastic time and we hope to welcome you back soon!

I'm not good at keeping secrets and although I let the word 'Warwick' slip in the weeks building up to my wife's special birthday surprise, she had no idea that we would be spending a night actually inside the castle, in the Peacock Suite.
As concierge Jack led us into the room, I'm not sure if my wife's jaw dropped, but it might well have done as she realised we were literally stepping back into history, not a facsimile of it.
Other reviewers have used words like 'fantastic', 'brilliant', 'wow' and 'amazing' and all of them are very much appropriate in describing our experience - even if the draught through the toilet and bathroom windows means that a stay in February can be a little chilly at times.
Jack, his colleague Ethan and our personal tour guide Ben were all committed to making our stay a memorable one. When I mentioned to Ethan that the heated floor tiles in the bathroom weren't working, he went to the room while we were dining and fixed the problem. The only other issue was that the buggy bringing us back from the Knights Village restaurant ran out of juice, but it was a pleasant walk of only a few minutes duration to complete the journey.
The 'free meals inside the castle' card is a nice touch, but if I had to carp about one thing, I think it could also be extended to the Knights Village, given the overall cost of the stay. London Zoo, for example, include an evening meal in the price if you stay in one of their lodges.
Our breakfast was served by Jack in the Blue Boudoir and were able to chew our way through a full English in front of a portrait of Henry VIII - and I swear I saw a little dribble of saliva on his chin as he watched us.
We didn't brave the Warwick Castle Dungeon because I am a bit squeamish, but explored just about everything else, and if you are interested in history, this is a fantastic place to visit - and to stay.

We stayed in the Peacock suite on the 11th of July for just one night, however it was one truly amazing night!

The two lovely concierge hosts (Emma and I think the evening host's name was Ally? But maybe wrong) was great and so helpful!

The private tour, breakfast in the state dining room and afternoon tea make the cost of the stay so worth it. Not even factoring in your sleeping in a 14th century tower.

Thank you very much all the staff at Warwick for an amazing stay.

What's not to love!

Absolutely amazing! Yes it's a bit pricey but you get what you pay for what you get. We started with afternoon tea in the Conservatory which was fabulous . A bottle of champagne greeted us in the suite and the suite itself was gorgeous. I've never slept in a 4 poster bed before and it wqs most comfortable. My children enjoyed knocking on the doors to people walking past down the stairs, frightening them. At 4 pm we had a private tour by Tim which so informative and enjoyable, my 12 year old especially enjoyed it. We went into Warwick for dinner then back to the castle where we got to enjoy the entertainment and fireworks from the dress rehearsal for Sundown. Watching fireworks from the battlements was stunning. Breakfast was taken in a state room which was beautiful- portraits staring down at you whilst you eat is not an everyday occurance! We then wondered back to the room via the battlements before the gates opened to the general public before going into the dungeons.

The Castle and grounds are stunning and all staff we met were friendly and courteous so thank you Warwick Castle.

We stayed at Warwick Castle on December 2, 2019 in the Peacock Tower. This was a must stop on our way from London to Liverpool. See we (my husband and I) were in the UK for our 10th wedding anniversary. We had a private tour of the castle, went to the Italian Restaurant in town (amazing food), slept in the Peacock Tower, and had a private breakfast in the Great Room!! Since we went in off peak season, there wasn't many visitors around, but the Castle is so BEAUTIFUL!! You would think that a room in the Tower would be cold at that time of year, but it wasn't. The floor in the bathroom was warm. They must have heating elements under the floor, so when you took a shower your feet didn't freeze. At every turn we felt like royalty! This was an amazing stop on our trip. I just wish we had more time there.

Myself and my partner spent last weekend at Warwick Castle, staying overnight at the wonderful Rose Suite in on of the castle's towers.

From the moment we were greeted by Ben from Concierge in the car park we were treated like royalty!

The suite was absolutely stunning and we were able to enjoy the War of the Roses jousting show, Flaconers Quest Birds of Prey Show, the outstanding Dragon Slayer evening show, as well as entrance to the Dungeons and afternoon tea on our second day, all included with our Suite booking.

The most special part of our weekend was the exclusive access to the castle and grounds after / before the public had left. We had direct access from our room to the castle rooftop walkways and views. Going out at sunrise when noone was around was a truly unique and magical experience.

We also had a private tour of the castle with historian Mark who was excellent, so knowledgeable and engaging, we even got to handle some of the battle props!

To add to our royal treatment, we had a private breakfast for 2 in the State Dining Room, following in the footsteps of Queen Victoria, Queen Elizabeth II and Princess Diana amongst many others!

Thank you to all who made this special Birthday weekend such a wonderful experience. We were particularly impressed and grateful to Jacob who could not do enough for us and made sure everything was perfect. Ben was also fantastic.

Would highly recommend a stay in the Tower Suites for a truly unique and memorable treat!

Well where do we start . From the moment Ellie Concierge met us at the carpark, we were treated like a King and Queen . The Rose Suite exceeded our expectation on all levels. We had champagne on arrival and loved that we could explore after the public had left , what an experience. Our one to one History tour was done with George who had so much knowledge and we learnt a lot from her and the history of Warwick Castle and its Earls. Ben Concierge brought our cream tea to our room and when we rang for a takeaway, Ben picked it up from the carpark and brought to our room. We had a Dungeon experience which was amazing and scary at the same time . Breakfast was in the State Dining Room where Queen Victoria, Queen Elizabeth ll, Prince Charles etc had dined before us . The breakfast was amazing and we dined like royalty. Ellie and Ben could not do enough for us and made our experience very special. We would highly recommend a Tower Suite break and we will definitely return to stay in the Peacock Suite . Your staff are a credit to Warwick Castle.

We stayed 11/02/22. Phoned head and was met at the entrance by concierge, car space reserved at the entrance of the Castle. The concierge lady was very friendly and welcoming. I can’t recall her name ( young from the Wirral). We stopped for her to point out our suite room for a photo. The suite amenities fully explained. You place your breakfast order the night before. Tv pops up at the end of the bed. Given a 20% discount card for the shop, drink and food stalls. We explored the Castle grounds knowing we had a private tour, dungeon tickets and afternoon tea booked for the next day. We decide to eat dinner in the town of Warwick which is only 5 minutes away. The bed was comfy and had a great nights sleep. Next morning concierge texted to say she was waiting at the foot of the tower to escort us to breakfast. Breakfast served promptly, alone in a room in the Castle which when the Castle is open people view. You retain your space in the car park the next day.

We stayed in the rose suite and had an utterly fantastic time. The staff were all brilliant and the suite was beautiful. Once the castle closed we had the whole place to ourselves and were able to wander from our room directly onto the ramparts! We were taken by golf cart to the knights village in the evening, for the entertainment, and driven back up as soon as we were ready to leave. Breakfast in the library was wonderful, and the unlimited dining card, valid from arrival until leaving was also fantastic, ever fancied asking for one of everything in a tea shop, we did it! We haven't stopped recommending this treat to all our friends and family since our return. A truly magical experience for our 5yr old, and a total indulgence in luxury for us. Many new family memories made.
