We booked this hotel for a short break. The booking was based on the website photos and information. The reality was far removed from images shown on the website. The reception was shabby, paint was peeling from the walls and the carpet threadbare in a number of places and the corridor to the rooms displayed very dirty, chipped paintwork and... More

This Hotel is very tired and the rooms look nothing like the pictures on the website. I stayed here for 5 nights while attending a course locally. The room had a wardrobe with no doors, drawers missing in the desk/dressing table. The bathroom was stained and so was the carpet. The bed was ancient and the mattress so soft I... More

This hotel is not even worth any price. Firstly got into the lift and there was rubbish in it, we arrived to our floor and to our room which was rather outdated in decor. The whole room just seemed tired. The shower room was below a standard, it just felt so dirty even standing in the bathroom, dirt in the... More

Bargain bed prices and a little dated in places, but the real stars of the show were the staff - nothing was too much trouble and the reception were always ready with the friendly smile. Will be back!

We stayed on Sunday night . Hagley Road is an excellent location. ( I used to live there . ) Hotel is basic but clean comfortable and a good breakfast. We only paid £42 pounds for one night b and b staff were nice . Only three star but it worked for us. It was our second visit.

Arrived this afternoon to this very dated hotel. Room is adequate with everything you would expect, it's all just so dated and needs an injection of cash. I was pleasantly surprised to find the hotel had a pool and gym, then bitterly disappointed to find you have to pay extra to use it. I've never stayed at a hotel where... More

I wouldn't stay here again it was my first time in Birmingham and I wish my friends and I stayed somewhere else. Weach only had the triple room booked but the smallest of things were not in place. Your expect 3 towels for 3 people but no there were only 2! The lamp shades were all wonky on the wall... More

Some bits were really good. Most of the staff were friendly (receptionist needs a bit of work in that area), the bar was well stocked and open long hours, the lounge area was nice and the price was good value. Rest was pretty average. Room was dark and the heating should have been put on before we arrived, bathroom needed... More

Excellent value for money and plenty of car parking near the centre of Birmingham. Staff were very friendly and although the room is a bit dated it was clean & had everything you needed. Bar was well stocked & at a good price. Food was well served & in a timely manner. Everything you could want to eat at breakfast.
