This is truly one of the worst Holiday Inns I have stayed in for both service and room standard. Firstly the hotel is located near the city centre but in a rundown area. Parking is a grotty NCP car park to the rear (£20 per day) which has stairwells stinking of urine (and on my second day I was greeted...

This is a good location for the city centre - China Town, Bullring, Markets etc. The lobby area is very smart and modern and integrated into the bar area. Staff are excellent. But - despite being told this was a quiet room, the first night was probably the noisiest night in a hotel room I have ever experienced. Whirring and...

I have been a regular at the Holiday Inn for years and despite the recent renovations their staff are still their best asset. Friendly as ever. Bar prices too high and restaurant food does not live up to the hype. I eat out most nights I'm here but it is still my hotel of choice when I'm in town

Was pleasantly surprised how good this hotel was. Had been worried that there was no parking, however the NCP New Street car park was almost attached. Check in was easy, staff really friendly and helpful, I only had breakfast but the selection was good, cooked well and the restaurant was clean. I was on the first floor, bedroom was excellent,...

Hotel has been undergoing refurbishment for at least twenty years to my knowledge years and although most of the rooms are modern they have been re-furbed for some years. The other areas of the hotel, restaurant, bars etc. are relatively new and very nice but either they haven't finished or have messed up a bit due to the difficulty of...

The great thing about this hotel is its close proximity to New Street station - literally out of the station and into the hotel. The ground floor refurbishment is great and incorporates bar and dining areas in a cosy setting. Check in was quick but when I got to my room, it was not the category I had booked and...

I stay at a lot of hotels around the UK for business and this is the worst sleep I have had anywhere. I was on the 4th floor and could still hear all the traffic noise and was woken up at about 3am on every night by shouting outside which must have been when pubs/clubs closed. The double glazing did...
