Very good location just 5 minutes walk from new street station but the hotel and furniture's seem very old no roper maintenance, there was even no complimentary water in the room. Although Birmingham is small city but is nice to visit city centre specially the night life and local food available everywhere near new street station

Although improved, the fortress nature of New Street station makes finding one's way to one's destination a real challenge on arriving in Birmingham so the Holiday Inn is handily placed. £80 is not cheap for a chain hotel, especially on a Saturday but we found our room to be pretty comfortable and surprisingly sizeable. A typical hotel gripe is present...

I didnt expect much as I have stayed in many holiday inns before. However, I can say this is the best so far, beds are so comfy and rooms are exceptionally clean. Would recommend to anyone who goes to birmingham to stay here.

I stayed here in August [during the renovations] and it was awful. When I went to book last week I was assured that all works were finished and the hotel was good to go. No way..... Only one lift worked and the place still looks dated. I asked fo an evening meal of a medium rare steak and chips. Simple..........

Its all about balance - kittens via hotel reception cost extra. This hotel does not try to out 'shampoo bottle' other hotels (you get a squeezy thing on the wall). But what it does provide are pleasant staff, clean, modern rooms with everything working as it should. Plus it's in a great location - almost on top of the railway...

We have just stayed at the Holiday Inn Birmingham City Centre for one night on NYE and was a little apprehensive as I thought the hotel would be packed and noisy! Anyway, on arrival we decided to upgrade to a newly refurbished junior suite which was 100% worth the money! Beautiful quiet room, comfortable bed, free mini bar with unlimited...

Had a nice short stay in Holiday Inn. Staff are very pleasant and it's well situated next to Birmingham New Street train station. The lobby area is modern and comfortable and there were some very nice Christmas decorations. The breakfast was very tasty and one of the best I had in a Holiday Inn so far. I would stay again...
