We attended a reunion buffet here on a Saturday evening in September. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the place itself clean and warm. Our room was well equipped and immaculate. The buffet was delicious and plentiful ; well organised too, there wasn't the usual scrum of people all trying to get to the food at once....

Excellent location near New Street Station on the edge of China town. We choose a larger room on the 8th floor and it was excellent with a huge extremely comfortable double bed, choice of pillows and a panoramic views out over the city. Easy chairs and good lighting were very relaxing. Plus a work desk to do some paperwork. We...

Stayed for two nights. Nothing particularly bad to say, the room was very comfortable and clean, although the decor was less modern than Holiday Inn Express in Birmingham Snow Hill that I stayed at last year. Positives: location - great for accessing all of Brum's amenities, you're right by China Quarter and just a 10 minute stroll from Broad Street,...

The rooms are good in size but the decor is a bit tired and needs to be updated. The location is quite good close to the centre but the street is a bit noisy. Overall this is quite a good hotel but the Holiday Inn Express in Snow Hill is better in my opinion and less expensive.

No criticisms of the hotel at all but the surrounding building and road works are a nightmare at the weekend. Traffic at a standstill and tetchy taxi drivers. It will be brilliant when finished! Hotel provided earplugs which did the job.

I am horrified by our experience at this hotel. First and foremost, when we weren't able to check into our room right away, the staff advised us that they could keep our luggage secure in their back room. Very nice and clean hotel. Avoid the roadside rooms as these are noisy. Breakfast was full English self serve, it was excellent breakfast. Downside there is no free parking, nearest parking is at NCP but it is expensive vent with the discount.
