We were a family party of 12 including young children and we were looked after very well, especially at breakfast. The staff and service were excellent. A beautiful hotel, right in the centre of Birmingham.

A beautiful return and reception to the Hyatt after a large gap due to the Covid restrictions. We arrived on Friday and departed on Sunday. The staff were very helpful and provided an excellent service. Breakfast was very good and served efficiently due to the restrictions. The executive lounge was not open but drinks and canape food were still served in the ground floor area and were very good. The room was clean and tidy and the control of the lifts was very well organised (2 x persons per lift) The spa and pool were very relaxing and enjoyable. Many thanks to the staff at the Hotel. Jinnel on reception was amazing with her professional service. Many thanks to Liam Crotty, the Director of food and beverages and his team, Jamie Dimi Shrey Alessandro Hristo to mention a few. Will be visiting again soon and strongly recommend for a weekend visit.

Service upon arrival from reception was horrendous! They were Rude and hostile The Room was mediocre, at best. Very basic amenities. The sauna was out of order, Definitely didn’t get value for money. The quality was a huge let down

I used to stay at the Hyatt years ago and considered it to be a high-end Hotel, indeed one of the better ones in Birmingham. However I was sadly disappointed with this latest visit particularly given I was staying there as a special occasion as it was my first year anniversary. The hotel looked outdated and appeared to have had little money spent on it over the last 10 to 15 years. There were no bathrobes in the room and the TV remote didn’t even work - something which I’m sure even Travelodge excel at.

me and my girlfriend stayed here Saturday night and whilst it is still a lovely hotel it wasn't as enjoyable as I remembered. The staff were lovely and helpful, there was just a slightly manic feel to the service and the place. Our first room wasn't ready and was in the process of being clean, our second room was fine but not cleaned brilliantly and the water hadn't been changed from the last people in the room, which considering covid is still about, isn't great for an expensive hotel. The changing rooms in the spa facilities were also closed 'due to covid', which to me just felt lazy, I dont know how a changing room is any more of a covid risk than a bar, other than the fact the bar brings a lot more cash in. There were plenty of positives though, the hotel itself is amazing, the bar was nice and obviously the drinks are expensive but the beer was fantastic and the wine quite good too. Overall, the people were great and helpful, I felt sorry for them that they were clearly understaffed or inexperienced. For that price though it does need to be better to justify it.
