I stayed with my girlfriend for one night because Birmingham was fully booked, so we didn't have any better choice. It was a nightmare! We booked a standard room on the phone, but arriving half an hour later, the rude owner informed us that the room that we booked HALF! an hour earlier was not available, so the only available...

My friend and I stayed here recently for a couple of nights for an event in Birmingham. Theres not alot of hotels around the outskirts and the ones in city center are expensive. We opted to mind the pennies and booked this place. Overall I can say that the hotel is more a B&B /guest house. The exterior gave off...

Arrived to be told we couldn't use the shower in our room as it was being replaced. Must have taken the booking knowing that would be the case but no effort made to tell us. No one answered the door so had to phone. This top floor room was poorly maintained and quite noisy (pipes or generator.) No handle on...

Unwelcoming. Very poorly maintained. At breakfast waitress challenged us as to whether we had booked (and paid) for breakfast. Light fitting over the bed sparked and fizzled when turned on. Bed comfortable though

The location of this 'hotel' - I would really class it as a B&B - was great for us, but other than that, it was not a good experience. The shower in our ensuite had been removed and there was a gaping hole in the floor. The room and the ensuite smelled of damp. I had phoned on the morning...

We have just returned from a two night stay at this really nice hotel. We did consider cancelling due to the other reviews but I am so glad we didn't!. We had a double en-suit ground floor room which was clean, comfortable and had an enormous flat screen television. The owners were lovely...we were late arriving due to the terrible...

The location was superb for a party we attended as a family in the local area. This was the only good thing. The owners made it quite unwelcoming for our party and kept asking us when everyone will be here even though we've told them we're all traveling from different locations. Their grumpy attitude only made us want to avoid...

It's a shame that the owners of this place are so moody! It's a beautiful house with a really nice garden. Rooms were clean, slightly dated, although the shower rooms weren't. My shower was sticky... And an upstairs room taps that a friend was staying in only let out brown water... The owners were quite rude and we felt like...

I stayed here for one night having a meeting the following morning nearby. The fact that it was so close to my meeting was a bonus but aside from that it was not a pleasant experience. It is a large Victorian house and its needs investment, a lot of investment! The bed, the pillows, the curtains, the décor all we're...

I was beginning to dread my stay at this hotel, having read the reviews. To be fair, it wasn't as bad as some suggested, but there is still much that needs improving. Firstly, it is not accurate to describe this as an hotel, which immediately gives it some implied quality and essential pre-requisites. This place should be more appropriately described...
