Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a great place to stay and so convenient with busses into the centre of Birmingham at the end of the road. Norma is a brilliant host and is always on hand to help with anything needed. The room I had was clean and spacious with a lovely bay window looking out to the quiet road.

Just held one of our regalar residents meetings at Westbourne Lodge on Fountain Road. Norma the owner once again provided unrivalled hospitality and we can not thank her enough. She maintains her property in a excellent condition. The interior is spotless, with a beautiful calm ambiance. Oh and don’t forget to spend some time in her beautiful garden! Thank you once again Norma.

I've stayed in hotels across the world and this by far has the best hostess - Norma. She does everything in her power to make you as comfortable as possible and I couldn't feel more at home, whilst working away from home. The rooms are spacious, clean with a comfortable bed and the heating is just right. Breakfast was laid out just for me, every morning which was a lovely touch. The road is very peaceful and quiet and travel to and from City Hospital made this the perfect location. I've stayed in other hotels in the area which offer a substandard service in comparison. I wouldn't doubt about returning here in the future and can highly recommend the Westbourne Lodge.

I stayed with my family for 2 nights and it was absolutely amazing. The rooms had lots of space and an en-suite bathroom. The receptionist was really lovely and helpful, she leaves breakfast out in the morning from 8-9 and there is an open kitchen with everything that you will need. Westbourne Lodge also has the Bull Ring shopping centre near by, and lots of places to eat and explore. Amazing.

Great find in this part of Birmingham with lovely outdoor seating in a beautiful peaceful garden. Norma was most helpful and couldn't do enough to make us comfortable. Close to Botanical Gardens and easy to get to and from the town centre on the bus, car or taxi. We even had an upgrade to a superior room as the double room wasn't available. Thank you for a great stay.

Stayed a Saturday night. Friendly helpful staff and a lovely room with a really comfortable bed. I had a very early start the next morning so wasn't able to have breakfast. No hesitation in recommending it for your stay in Birmingham.

We ended up at this hotel by default, but so glad we did. Lovely small hotel, run by the lovely Norma, who was waiting outside for us when we arrived. Room was large and spotless, very comfy beds and a lovely modern bathroom. Downstairs was a big lounge with free fruit and cake and tea and coffee, which was really nice. Breakfast was healthy and delicious. I can't recommend this hotel enough.

Lovely room, friendly reception, off road parking, comfy bed. Definatly ticked all the boxes. Short distance to the symphony hall. Lovely people, very welcoming. Would most definatly stay here again. Was showed round the grounds and gutted we didn't get chance to sit in the lovely garden. Wouldn't hesitate to book again.

An absolute gem recommended by a work colleague who stayed here previously. Much better than a chain hotel with larger rooms and full facilities available for use. Main reasons I will come again.. *free on site parking well covered by CCTV *full modern kitchen to use as needed *free laundry room (washer/dryer/iron/ironing board) so perfect for working away. *immaculate and very private garden *a couple of minutes from the city centre *The owner is delightful and really goes out of her way to look after you.
