I always go for the branded hotels, but this was rated highly and website looked good however it's an house conversion, the floors creak, room was ok but not that clean. The hotel is going through some modernisation but the quality is not high, looks like they have a job lot somewhere for fittings, so overall not good value. Car...

We have stayed at the Collection hotel twice now, once when we went to the German market and the second was a last minute decision to stay out drinking so we booked in online without any issues. I can't understand all of the negative reviews. Both times we have had lovely rooms with no issues, polite and welcoming staff on...

We stayed at the Collection Hotel for 2 weeks in December whilst our son had to undergo an operation at the QE hospital. The staff could not have been more helpful and looked after us really well. I was posting this review to say thanks and noticed some of the negative reviews on here about the hotel. All I can...

Short version: This hotel is dirty, and unsafe. I would not want anyone i know to stay here, and the idea that this is a four star hotel is laughable Detailed version: The only good thing about the Collection Hotel Birmingham is the skill of the website photographer. Have you noticed that there are no photos of the front of...

I really don't know where to start! We were due to stay here for our Christmas Party this past weekend, I say due to stay because I wouldn't let my dog stay here let alone a human being. Upon parking up and walking to the entrance there was vomit, broken glass, blood and what I can best describe as knife...

Absolutely appalling; staff and manager are rude and service is shocking. Restaurant was closed because of a large party so couldn't eat on the evening. Call for breakfast to be told there busy. Room was queen size but was a shoe box tiles cracked and leaking floor toilet didn't flush and all cost a fortune! Still haven't eaten and checked...

Last night, 10th December, me and my boyfriend had an overnight stay at your "4 star" Clarion Collection hotel Birmingham. Looking at the web page, there has been many positive reviews, as well as the pictures making this hotel looking immaculate. So for £150, why would you not go for this hotel? Well, actually £150 for this hotel has proven...

Overnight stay with son for Placebo gig. Good points first Friendly receptionist and trouble free check in. Room was comfortable and slept well. Breakfast was reasonable and I left feeling well fed (but there were negatives). Well located and free parking. At £75 for the night including breakfast it was reasonably good value. Bad points A bit grubby in places...
